Happy New Year!! Went 1-0 with my tip yesterday.
Had the Stars to win in regulation against the Sabres and they did 4-2.
USA beat Canada 4-1 in a chippy game at the World Juniors. Canada couldn’t stay out of the box and any time they would start to gain momentum they would kill it by taking a penalty.
Hopefully everyone enjoyed their night. Quite a night of partying at my place, we had cheese AND crackers. Getting old sucks.
Only one game today.
Devils vs Kings
This is the 2nd meeting between these teams with the Devils winning the first one 3-1 on December 12th.
The Devils played yesterday and lost 3-2 to the Ducks. They are on a 2 game losing skid and have gone 6-3-1 in last 10. On the road this season they have gone 12-7-0
The Kings are 6-2-2 over last 10, on a 2 game win streak and 12-2-1 at home.
Both teams rank in the top 5 for GAPG and SOGA. Both are averaging over 3 GPG.
The Devils have better numbers in Corsi, Fenwick, SF and SA. The Kings are better in GF/60.
I would say this should be a game the Devils win as the stats tend to support it. But they played yesterday and Markstrom started so I expect Allen starts today and he hasn’t had the same success this season. I’m passing here.
