A great 2-0 for Scott yesterday, as he continues to be on fire.
Two road teams, both in regulation and they duly delivered as the Capitals beat the Flyers and the Panthers beat the Blues. Both came down to one goal and we came out winners which was very nice.
We’ve got five games on the board today, then a busy Saturday and a very less busy Sunday.
Let’s see what we have today:
Rangers vs Penguins:
Rangers coming in off the solid wins over the Bruins. Two wins in a row. Penguins have been a bit better last couple games, have that extra day of rest.
Metrics really aren’t great for the Rangers so I can’t back them. Which might be for the best. Even though I like them here after the last two wins, both could fall under my “anomaly” category with a win over a team they just played, and the oddity Knights. So it’s a pass.
Jets vs Islanders:
Big game this. Both teams playing superb. Jets better by the metrics with CF% and FF%. Islanders brutal xGA but GA/60 saving them. This is one of those where I do lik Jets in regulation, but it’s marginal and that goaltender variance can be a bitch.
Blackhawks vs Predators:
Nothing here. No value in the Hawks based on the metrics for anyone wondering.
Oilvers vs Avalanche:
Oilers are on my shit list at the moment. By the data – eh it’s reliant on their offense heavily, and that’s a heavy variant.
Kings vs Stars:
Kings starting to turn things around with two wins in a row. They are slightly favoured against the Stars. The data backs up how close it should e although I’d maybe lean the Stars. I dunno eitther way coinflip odds seem about right. No bet.
So yeah nothing today unfortunately. I do lean Rangers and Jets in regulation.
