No plays yesterday. I did say there was value on the Penguins, so props if anyone took it. I couldn’t bring myself to back it even casually – Penguins on the road. Bleh. They’ve screwed me over too many times in that spot.
Habs were unable to beat the Sens and that’s a concern for me with the playoffs approaching. As I said yesterday their wins were not over the best teams – so a little reality check for Montreal.
A a quick reminder how playoffs work – both Scott and myself will give series analysis and pick a bet individually, and then we will do individual game bets from Game 2 on. Always look forward to it.
Anyway I’ve looked through everything here and yeah not really feeling it at all.
Quick thoughts PURELY based on metric data:
– Flyers/Islanders over looks alright based on GF metrics. Only weak part is both teams low xGA but they have a high enough xGF that I like that one over 6 @ 2.00.
– Canes in regulation probably a decent shout but their GA/60 is so erratic that’s the concern.
– The data doesn’t support it but I really hope Leafs/Habs just say screw it and go out there and have an all-timer. Seasons over, why the hell not.
– Stars/Utah over 6 at 1.83 seems alright. Couple of flaws like Stars GA/60 and Utah xGA/60 both being good so pay attention to that but if both teams are up for this, I don’t hate it.
– I like the Canucks to bet the Wild. Just generally better in the metrics and the Wilds offense hurts them.
– I’m not an “under” guy but I feel like Knights/Preds will.
Anyway no official bets – I’m done until playoffs with them. There’s 9 games tomorrow but I ain’t even gonna waste time writing about them. See you come the playoffs!

Awesome tips… only one im seeing today is PHI/NYI over as well…found one booky O5.5@-100 odds, im going for it. kind of marginally agree with others BUT ill probably be betting for fun all day just because im sitting in the sun, beautiful spring day (Finally esti!!!!), drinking beer, watching hockey and making maple syrup baby!!! Ya!
