Sorry about the lateness of the picks today guys – the day just slipped away from me. I had NHL Tips written on my whiteboard and then I happened to glance at the time and – holy crap – 4:30pm already?
I hope everyone had a good Christmas. I’m aiming to get these out before 5pm so let’s get on with the tips.

Bruins vs Senators: Bruins to Win in Regulation
Boston lost to Ottawa last time out, 4-2 in Ottawa. But you’re talking about a top 3 home team against the Senators who are inconsistent at best. Ottawa did have that marvellous win against the Penguins but they’ve struggled like crazy prior to that.

Jets vs Wild: Jets To Win
1.8 odds on the Winnipeg Jets to win. Minnesota have always had the advantage so far in their meetups – but they’ve been close. Minnesota beat them twice 2-1 in Minnesota, and the Jets lost 3-2 in a shootout back on November 23rd.
Minnesota are on a bad run at the moment though. While the Jets aren’t exactly lighting things on fire, I still like them to beat the Wild tonight. Back that at http://www.5Dimes.eu(Need to register to see lines).
Blackhawks vs Avalanche: Over 5.5
Last time these two played, it went to 6 goals in quite a surprising result of the Avs winning 5-1. I can’t see that one again – but I do see there being a fair amount of goals.
