Not a good night last night with the NHL Tips, although you would have made some money back if you followed the OHL Tips.
In the NHL the Islanders vs Rangers had 2 slow periods to start. The 3rd period the Rangers opened up with 3 goals but it wasn’t enough to put the game Over 5.5. And unfortunately the Carolina Hurricanes put on a tremendous performance to stop the Blues.
In the OHL, both teams won to win our double bet of 1.7 odds.

Well one more day until the Super Bowl. Very excited for that. I have taken the Seahawks and Scott the Broncos so we have a bet between us as to who will win, and the loser has to pay the bar tab. That’s going to be one bloody expensive bar tab as we plan on being there from 1pm for the Habs vs Jets game, and not leaving until they kick us out!
OHL Betting Tips:
As mentioned, we won both tips last night. I suggested to put them in an accumulator and that was a 1.7 odds win.
Today I like the Oshawa Generals to beat the Ottawa 67s, and the Erie Otters to beat the Owen Sound Attack. For wins in regulation, it’s 1.45 and 1.35. You can double them up at 1.96 odds.

Bruins vs Oilers: Bruins to Win In Regulation
A month ago we wouldn’t be getting nice odds on this one at all. But Edmonton are on a huge 3 game run at the moment, have been playing well both offensively and defensively. Boston are coming off that HUMILIATING defeat at the hands of my wonderful Montreal Canadiens.
Bruins are 1.74 to win and you have to take them here. This should be a good game and I like the Bruins to bounce back tonight. Against the Habs it was just an off night – I mean pretty much every single Bruins player decided to have a bad night all at once.
Back the Bruins to win in regulation. 1.7 odds at Bovada.
Panthers vs Blue Jackets: Over 5.5 Goals
First game of the season between these two. Blue Jackets finally got back on track against the Capitals, while the Panthers are stumbling at the moment.
Between the sticks Florida can’t stop conceding goals, but they’re scoring as well. Both teams like to push up and I like this one to go over 5.5 goals.
Back that at 2.00 odds at Bovada.
Leafs vs Senators: Over 6 Goals
No surprise that this one is set at Over 6 goals. But I still like to take it, knowing full well it can go to a push.
Toronto will not stop fighting in this game and it’s going to be a great one. I know I’ll be skipping the UFC prelims to watch this battle. 1.90 odds on the over 6 at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv.

Not very good payouts on Bovada on these picks, so I modified them a bit: took Bruins -1.5 (+120), Fla/Col over 6.5 (+160), and Tor/Ott over 6.5 (+120). Didn’t actually have/see the over 6 anyway…
Hmmm weird with Bovada you can usually play around with the Over/Unders. Do you have an account at http://www.betnhl.ca/go/5dimes.php ? They are US Book as well and do a good job with odds. It’s all about having multiple accounts. Today for example Sports Interaction(non-US) had 1.9 odds on Leafs/Sens over 5.5.
I don’t use 5Dimes at the moment. Have thought about it. I’ll take a look at them again.
All I ever see on Bovada is the main o/u and then one alternate (usually 6.5).
