A nice 5-3 win for the Islanders last night. Great performance by Brock Nelson, who racked up 2 assists and 2 goals for a 4 point night. Boychuk as well had a good one.

Hopefully if you bet the Islanders, you bet them in regulation as suggested for a nice payout at 2.20 odds.

I’m not completely sold on the Islanders yet, but they were impressive last night. Not just the win – but to ring in so many changes, yet play so well as a team.

Let’s move onto Saturday, October 11th 2014. After just the one game last night we’ve now got FIFTEEN tonight then two tomorrow – great scheduling NHL.

Lot of great games tonight. Remember we’ve got the $20 Guaranteed Winning Bet at Sports Interaction. Basically you sign up there and then you bet $20 on a team to win. If they win – great, you win. If they lose – great, you get your $20 back!

As of right now that expires the end of this month so take advantage of it now.

Alrighty – on with the NHL Betting Tips for October 11th, 2014:

Canucks vs Oilers Betting Tips:

Oilers away record last year was actually almost as good as their home record. After getting thumped at home by Calgary they’re now on the road in Vancouver. The Canucks had a big 4-2 win over the Flames.

You can never be scared of upsets – and betting the Canucks to win in regulation here is easily the correct bet to make. This is one of those frustrating bets where my gut says it’s ripe for an upset – but when doing the odds predictions earlier this morning, we predicted Canucks in regulation would be 1.83 odds – which we would have tipped.

We’re getting Canucks 1.95 in regulation, which is a steal. Win or lose, that’s just a terrific bet for value based on the opening games.

Penguins vs Leafs Betting Tips:

Penguins are always capable of scoring the goals obviously – and they’re playing a Leafs team who offensively looked pretty solid in the loss to the Habs.

Playing at home again, Toronto are going to be aggressive and look to get the goals. Even though they lost to Montreal they were competitive throughout and looked sharp on offense. It would not surprise me in the least if Leafs steal the win here, but with two competitive teams who can both score but are a bit shaky at the moment on D, we have to go with the Overs.

Senators vs Lightning Betting Tips:

Don’t let us down again Tampa, otherwise I may need to get my Stamkos voodoo doll out again.

Bet: Tampa in regulation. 1.90 odds at Sports Interaction (Exclusive: $20 Free Bet for Canadians) or for Americans try out Bovada and everyone else Bet365.com..

Value Bet: Jets vs Sharks

Finally, we’re going to throw a value bet out there. The Jets looked excellent in their opener. The Sharks are a beast of a team – but we were really impressed with the Jets. They’re without Kane – but meh, is that really a loss? Not based on last season. Either way – we think 2.65 for the Jets to win is a good price.

Might be a good time to use the throwaway bet at Sports Interaction (Exclusive: $20 Free Bet for Canadians) or for Americans try out Bovada and everyone else Bet365.com..
