Just an AWESOME night of hockey last night, with so many close games and so many goals. Multiple shootouts, and I was using NHL Gamecenter to the max last night just trying to keep an eye on all those games and everything that was going on.

Betting wise, we had an EXCELLENT win with the Buffalo Sabres. We took the risky underdog bet at 2.70 odds, and they got the massive win there after a shootout. Damn what a game and a nice big win.

The Ducks on as well, although it took them overtime and a shootout to do just that. Hopefully you bet them at that for 1.83 odds. At this stage of the season, it’s probably best to go with the safer bets like that.

Nashville let us down unfortunately. They were just a big disappointment. The electric offense we had seen in their first few games just wasn’t there tonight – they were missing the confidence and they let the Flames take over and force the game to OT.

On the bright side – Tampa Bay lost. Some great work by Schneider in that one it has to be said – his puck control was excellent.

It’s October 15th, 2014 and we’ve got three games of hockey tonight. The rested Chicago Blackhawks take on the Calgary Flames, the Bruins try to seek revenge and turn this bad start around against the Detroit Lions, and finally the Oilers take on the Coyotes.

Also be sure to head on over to GolfBettingTips.org. It’s a site I’ve recently launched after betting on golf privately for years. All the golf tips are free, covers a wide variety of tournaments and I’ve had a bunch of huge wins lately – just had the 22/1 Kirk Triplett win the SAS Championship! Tips for tournaments taking place this week will be up later today.

Right 3 games today let’s see what we got:

Blackhawks vs Flames Betting Tips:

Blackhawks are well rested, and going against a Flames team who went to OT last night. After a tough game against Dallas which they won, the Blackhawks destroyed Buffalo 6-2.

This bet isn’t a no-brainer, as much as we wish it was. Flames are a team that generally match up well with the Blackhawks. They won twice against them last season and the two only played each other three times.

We’re currently getting 1.95 odds on the -1.5 Blackhawks. It was 2.00 earlier so the money is clearly going on Chicago. I don’t really like the odds, but it just feels like a bet we need to make. Bruins vs Red Wings Betting Tips:

It just makes sense to go with the Under 5 here.

Neither team has been doing anything on offense at the moment. Howard is in net for the Wings and he always enters beast mode against the Bruins. Rask also been very solid.

Both teams have problems – and that’s on offense. With two top goalies in, you just have to go with the under.

Nothing for Oilers vs Coyotes. My betting system predicts the over – but not enough to where I feel comfortable tipping it.

Hey uh… just a quick thing to edit: Detroit Red Wings, not Lions, haha. Watching too many different sports this time of year can mess up your head.

Tony

I was going to point this out too. “Uhh, guys? When did the Bruins sign up to play the Lions?” 🙂

Bs might have more success on a football field than the ice at this point. And that’s coming from a Bs fan.

Thanks – yeah I was waiting for one of the lines to come out today and was doing NFL analysis for this weekend and yeah made that slip. Although CJ vs Chara would be fun. Now I’m debating creating the Detroit Lions on NHL 15 just for kicks.

You don’t have Coyotes to win? Oilers got destroyed last night by LAK, Have no confidence, heavy legs, no compete. 1st liners Nugent-Hopkins and Eberle are out and Scrivens, who isn’t a #1 goalie is in goal tonight. I like parlay with Yotes and Hawks ML. If you’re adventuresome, add Bs-Wings under or Wings +1 1/2

J-Bomber

agree 100% with the hawks/yotes parlay. take the hawks in regulation and yotes OT inlc for a tidy little +230. if you are adventurous throw in Giants ML and make it a juicy +430.

Couldn’t pull the trigger on that one. Will probably be a regretful decision as the Coyotes 1.8 in regulation is a great price and sensible bet. Just one of those bets where we just weren’t 100% sold. We’d also spent a lot of time debating the Bruins/Wings(initially had the Wings to win) pick, and when it came to Oilers vs Coyotes we both had that “eh” feeling so decided not to go with it.

Turns out I made the right choice re: Yotes v Oilers but the Hawks let us down big time. Can someone explain to me how the Hawks can’t get more than one past Hiller in 50 SOG? WTF?!
