We’re down to the final game of round 7, with the Detroit Red Wings taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 7 of their series.
The winner of this series will go on to face the Montreal Canadiens, who defeated the Ottawa Senators 4-2. The other game in the East is the New York Rangers against the Washington Capitals.
The West is already determined, with the surprising Minnesota Wild up against the Chicago Blackhawks. The Anaheim Ducks also await, ready to slay the Calgary Flames.
It should be a great game tonight. It’s been a thoroughly interesting series. Mrazek has stepped up big time for the Red Wings. He won Game 1 practically on his own, and has recorded 2 shutouts against Tampa.
This is the final game, which is in Tampa. Detroit have won 2 of the 3 in Tampa during the playoffs, and go into this minus Niklas Kronwall and Marek Zidlicky.
Let’s see what we both think:
Scott: I had the Lightning to take this series in 5 games. Well that didn’t come through for me. But I still like the Lightnings chances in this one. If the Lightning can get their power play working then this should be easy for them. The Red Wings are without their best defenseman, Kronwall, who is suspended and will sit this one out. I like the Lightning to win with OT included but that falls way belies our minimum at 1.52. I’m not confident enough in taking them in regulation. I am also going to take the Lightning to Score First which you can get at 1.70 or above at http://www.5Dimes.eu for Americans(Need to register to see lines) and and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else..
Graeme: I took the Detroit Red Wings to win the series, at the big odds of 2.80. Sadly despite their performances, they are 2.70 to win the series at this point. I probably should have cashed out when they were up 3-2! Really – I know Kronwall is a big loss, but you have to think about the amount of shots the Lightning have got that Mrazek saved and just how well the Red Wings have done. Kronwall does not make that team. For value alone, I think you gotta go with the Red Wings at 2.70 at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else..
