The New York Rangers won Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. It was a 2-1 victory in a good game. Lundqvist really stepped up for the Rangers, and the Lightning showed their power play continues to be lethal.
Let’s get to the tips for Game 2, which takes place today:
Scott: Game one was close. It took until the end of the 2nd for the first goal to be scored when the Rangers Stepan scored with 13 seconds left. The Lightning answered early in the third but it was the Rangers scoring with just over 2 minutes left in the 3rd to seal the 2-1 win. This was the third win in a row for the Rangers.
So far in these playoffs, the Rangers have split their first two games at home to both the Penguins and the Capitals. And with game one being so close this looks like another game that could go either way.
For the decent odds and that the Lightning will bounce back I’ll take them for 2.20. Also going to go with Over 4.5 for 1.76. The Lightning have won both game twos so far, first it was 5-1 against the Red Wings after losing game one and then it was 6-2 against the Habs. Both game ones stayed at or below 5 only to have them explode in game 2.
Lightning Win & Over 4.5
Graeme: I think the Tampa Bay Lightning have a good bounce back game. They’ve shown that they can go on the road and get the wins. They beat the Red Wings twice on the road, and the Habs twice on the road as well.
Rangers also are not a beast at home as Scott said.
Would love to see higher odds – 2.20 is a pretty low price, but I do agree that Tampa win.
