Wow – what a game it was last night.
Two goalkeepers who have had some great performances throughout the playoffs, yet that went out the window last night. A power play goal by Derick Brassard 1 minute in set the tone, and we ended up with the game going into overtime tied at 5 freaking 5.
Thankfully we didn’t have triple OT two nights in a row, as Nikita Kucherov got the game winner a few minutes in.
However that has to be a big concern for the Rangers – especially with Lundqvist letting in so many goals. To their credit though – the Rangers did limit the Tampa Bay power play to just 2 PPs. Of course that resulted in a goal in 1 of the 2.
Tonight we have Game 3 in the Ducks vs Blackhawks series, which takes place in Chicago. This series is tied 1-1, and comes 2 nights after the Triple overtime game. It’s been a thrilling series so far.
Ducks vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:
Scott: Crazy game 2 with the Hawks scoring two early powerplay goals only to have the Ducks score two of their own. And it took triple OT before the Hawks took the 3-2 win to even the series up 1-1.
Both of these teams are exhausted and the longer the series goes and the more hockey that is played in this series is only going to work in the Hawks favor. The Ducks breezed through the first two rounds untested.
Hawks at home so I have to take them with the home fans and the momentum from the last games win
Hawks Win for 1.74
Graeme: I’m a fan of value, and I think 2.15 has value for the Ducks. But the momentum of a triple overtime win, as well as the fact that the Blackhawks are unbeaten at home in the playoffs? I think you have to bet the Hawks here.
Anaheim hasn nt loss at home before yesterday….
