Holy crap – what a tremendous couple of conference finals.
Both series have been just incredible. They are tied 2-2, and the Ducks vs Blackhawks series is really fantastic. These two teams are so evenly matched it’s ridiculous. It’s amazing to think that Game 1 in the series was a 4-1 thrashing.
We both had separate betting tips yesterday and managed to go 1-0. Scott tipped the Blackhawks to win, while Graeme went with Over 5 goals. What a 3rd period that was, and overtime – oh my.
Also holy crap if you didn’t watch UFC last night, find yourself a way to watch it. Just an excellent, excellent PPV after a rather dire undercard.
Today is Game 5 of Lightning vs Rangers.
Scott: I didn’t expect there to be as any goals as there has been in this series. Game 1 had 3 goals but games 2, 3 and 4 had 8, 11 and 6. Rick Nash came back to life and that’s only going to help the Rangers moving forward. And Lundqvist had a solid game allowing only one goal after two games in row letting in 6. This game could go either way. But thanks to the momentum gained in the last game, and Nash and Lundqvist showing signs of life I’m leaning towards the Rangers. Rangers Win for 1.76
Graeme: I felt it was best to bet the Bolts until the Rangers actually show they can be effective in stopping the power play. They did that, and Lundqvist stepped up big time. I honestly don’t know what to think of this game, or this series really. It’s so 50/50 – and I think no matter who is at home, either team has the ability to win. Based on that – I’ll go with the slight value of the Underdog which is the Lightning. 2.20 odds at Bovada for Americans and http://www.Bet365.com for everyone else..
