Hope everyone affected by the winter storm in the States stays safe! It’s the perfect day to hide under a blanket in your basement, drink beer and watch hockey.
We’ve got a loaded card of games tonight and looking forward to them.
An interesting one last night with the Blackhawks – fresh off their winning streak being ended – snapping the Panthers losing streak as Florida went to town on Chicago. Will be interesting to see how both teams react after that.
I did one of those escape rooms last night. If you’ve never been – man are they fun. Although it was tough having to leave my phone outside. Some of us have to check NHL scores FFS.
Let’s get to the tips today:
Canadiens vs Leafs Betting Tips:
Even with Price in net, we often look at the over in this one. With the way the Habs are at the moment? Man – this promises to be an interesting game.
Both teams have offensive problems at the moment which is concerning – but this is one of those games where a lot of the form goes out of the window and it’s all about this particular game and winning it. Stats don’t matter as much in games like this.
Over 5 goals.

Stars vs Avalanche Betting Tips:
You’ve got two offenses here that can always kick off – and these two have had high scoring games in the past. Stars are 3.48 for goals in a game at home, and the Avs are 2.63
Stars didn’t have the best road trip but are back home now and looking good. We’ll take Stars in regulation.

Islanders vs Flyers Betting Tips:
Griess in net for the Islanders. He’s been fairly leaky whether they win or lose. Flyers have managed to get their offense clicking the last 2 games but still conceding.
Hopefully a nice sloppy game with a lot of goals.
Over 5 Goals.
(Game postponed)
Devils vs Jets Betting Tips:
The odds for this one were a surprise to me – and I think there’s just too much value on this one – have to go with a Devils win.
Devils are on a nice little run – more importantly they’re playing some good hockey. Their road form isn’t great in terms of scoring goals – but they still have a solid 13-9-2 away record. They won’t win in dominant fashion but it should hopefully be a nice tight win.
The Jets have lost two straight at home and it’s tough to see them losing three. They were in a similar circumstance just over a week ago and we saw a fighting performance against the Predators.
I’ve actually chickened out of this one after writing about it – one of those things where I felt good about the Devils but as the day went on – I’ve changed my mind and no longer want to bet. A lot of that is just it’s hard to see the Jets losing at home.
But hey I wrote it up so figure I’ll post it.

NJ/Win
Both teams have solid goaltending but I like Jersey’s chances to sneak one by the Jets on their home turf; Jersey has 12 GF & 3GA on this 3 game winning streak: Can you believe it? 12 goals in 3 games!
Injuries to Scheifele 23pts & Stafford 24pts (plays an avrg. 18.5min per game) have had a huge impact on their offense; They’re 9GF & 14GA in last 5gms & scored 1 goal 4x in 4/5 gms; Won’t help the Jets offense when Jersey is known for blocking lots of shots either;
Good odds at +115 for the win.
OHL Win/ Flin
The stats favour Windsor in this one; Windsor is 12-8-1 on the road & 7-3-0 last 10; they’re PP is 23% & PK is 80%; Flint is 7-8-3 at home & 0-8-2 last 10; their PP is 12% & PK is 77%;
*Flint’s 1 win in this series was 4-3 but Windsor has won 3/4 & beat Flint 5-3 last Th, 6-2 & 3-0 so picking -1.5 (even) isn’t a stretch; Good luck tonight!
Very interesting night coming up.. Other than Pittsburgh who already won and Boston, i don’t see a single home regulation win happening. That’s 8/10 games ending in road win or OT.
Odds for the most part have significantly dropped, Ducks had 3 at some point (now around 2.5) and Bolts have gone down too. But the Devils ? I have no idea why but they’ve gone from 3 to 3.3 during the evening, makes me wonder what they know that i don’t.
Anyway, i see the Ducks, Devils and Bolts as very good options.
Like me some OT’s as well, Wild-Sharks, Maple Leafs-Canadiens, Stars-Avalanche and Oilers-Preds.
I would stay away from the Stars, even if i find OT the most likely choice, i guess they could win but their odds are terrible for a team that have lost 7 games in a row vs Colorado, just had a losing streak meanwhile the Avs are playing really well.
Good luck !
