Well a much better night for us as we went a perfect 2-0.
We had the Bruins to beat the Jackets and this was much closer than expected but the Bruins won 2-1 in OT. Wennberg scored a nice penalty shot goal.
Our 2nd tip was the Ducks to beat the Oilers and they won 5-3. This was the Ducks 3rd straight win and they’re now in 2nd in the Pacific Division. There was 3 goals in the last 2 minutes of the game, 2 empty net goals by the Ducks.
A slow night with only 3 games: Blackhawks vs Rangers, Canadiens vs Avalanche and Wild vs Flames.
Wild vs Flames Betting Tips:
The Wild picked up a huge win in new coach Torchetti’s debut against the Canucks and they will be looking to build off of that. They will be looking to win their first back to back games of 2016.
The Flames can score and are ranked 11th in the league in goals per game and average around 3 when at home.
Should be a good game and I like there to be goals.
Over 5
That’s all for the NHL today. We talked about the other two games but couldn’t come to an agreement. We figure that if we only agreed on one then that’s all we will have for tonight
.
OHL Betting Tips:
One tip for today which is Sarnia Sting -1.5 on the
road against the Saginaw Spirit.
Bet the OHL at:
Canadians: Bodog and 888 Sports.
Americans: Bovada.
Everyone Else: 888 Sports.
Colorado ML- the Habs have looked awful as of late and especially on the road.. Meanwhile I feel like Avs will have a strong bounce back game after getting destroyed by Buffalo and also looking to stay in the playoff mix.
Hawks ML- this game is a coin flip. Both goalies are strong, offense/Defense is strong although I feel like the abscence of Nash and McDonagh will hurt the Rangers chances against a Chicago team looking to regain their spot atop of the Pacific.
Good luck!
I hope to catch some of the NYR-BH game, should be great hockey. Two high scoring teams with good goalies.
hard to find value today where there’s confidence so I’m playing some low priced parlays to stay in the game:
Parlay 1 – Home teams run the table – Neither team is very good, but I’ll give the nod to the rested home team. Habs are on game 3 of road trip and that’s a time when legs and minds are heavy, especially at altitude and after two losses. NYR are great at home and they’ve been sleeping in their own beds for a week; they come to compete and take it to BH. Calgary isn’t bad at home and Hiller is 5-2 at home.
Parlay 2 – Over in all games – total goals for last 5 games:
33 Habs
27 Avs
24 NYR
28 BH
38 Flames
31 Wild
Need I say more?
3. Big Salami Over 16.5 – great value here with -105. I’d load up on this one boys.
4. Big Salami Home – great value here with even money. Home teams combined have averaged 17.8 goals in last 5.
good luck boys
I’d love to see a goalfest between Rangers/Hawks. We’d love to back the overs on that one but considering the 1-0 defensive clinics we’ve seen in recent times – yeah no good.
Hopefully the Salami hits for you. One of my favourite bets and I place it most days. Generally don’t care if win or lose as it’s just a fun way to enjoy every game.
Hey just a question you doing your home team parlay in OT or regulation?
ML, unlike my friend Arto I don’t do OTs, I can’t seem to figure out how to break them down.
Habs and Wild.
Also a combo with Gallagher & Zucker to score in regulation.
Damn! No odds for Gallagher. I replace him with Zuccarello.
Hey guys,
what do you think about a combo: Avs-Habs & Flames-Wild both over 4.5 goals? Think I will place a bet on this.
Thanks. Greetings from germany!
Don’t hate it. Obviously we like Flames-Wild. The 5.5 line put us off Habs/Avs but it could hit 5 for sure.
Ok. Thank you! I will also try in both games: “Both teams to score 2 goals” – Just for fun 🙂 Could be happen definitly!
Kinda meh night yesterday, especially regret picking the Jets despite my computer system saying Canes. I watched the game and knew after 5 minutes that the Jets wouldn’t win it. Also didn’t take into account that the Caps had Richards & Williams, both ex-kings, looking to beat their old club, i don’t know how i completely forgot that. But at least the Kings had a breakaway before the Caps gwg so i don’t feel that bad. Also the Oilers couldn’t get it tied, but anytime you go for OT and it’s a 1 goal game late in the 3rd you can’t say it was the worst bet in the world.
Oh well, luckily Bruins-Jackets went to OT and as those odds are always great it made up for the losses, also the Flyers won.
Overall hardly made any money though and that’s never the goal, so let’s try again.
My picks tonight are:
Avs ML (this is very risky though i feel like, gut says Habs are going to have a surprisingly good game, that’s why the ML)
Chicago ML
Minnesota in regulation
I feel pretty good about the Wild pick to be honest, but the Hawks game is kind of the type of game where i just rely on the Hawks ability to beat any team when they want, and i can see them wanting to win this game. Rangers have dominated the Hawks lately though and combine this with their current form – yeah it’s easy to see why im scared about this pick. But i already came to the conclusion that the Hawks would win the game eventually and didn’t want to back down from it.
Very slow night and not a single gem, but for a change it’s nice to just watch the games and not keep an eye out on the scores of 7 other games going around at the same time 😀
Good luck.
Yeah my system said Canes as well yesterday but we opted not to take it. Jets can be tricky because they’re a lot better than when they often play, and Canes are always tough to back.
Yeah no kidding, the Jets are a good team and better than what their play would suggest but for some reason just keep losing games they really shouldn’t.
Have to admire the Canes play this season though. They often get it done in regulation too when they’re the underdogs on paper. Just wish i had more balls to back them as they could have been a goldmine this year (like the 5-0 win over Hawks etc.)
Sting lose 5-2 wow your radar for the OHL games has been off as of late, big miss on that one tonight.
Lots of winners posted here yesterday, boys! Job well done!! Scott, Arto, SDBruins. Bravo!
Great job! My bets are all wins, too 🙂 Was a good night…
