The Penguins take a 2-1 lead in the series against the Capitals and it was a big win for them with the way the Capitals played. Washington were tremendous and Matt Murray had to make 47 saves to keep them at bay.
Every game so far between these two teams has been exciting and close and you feel either team could win. We’ve said it before but hopefully this one goes 7 games because it’s really fun hockey to watch.
The Penguins will most likely be without Letang for Game 4 – that was a pretty bad hit on Johansson and will most likely be a suspension.
We’ve got a busy night with 3 games tonight so let’s get to the betting tips. As always we highly recommend signing up at the sportsbooks below we recommend – another night where there’s some bets where the odds are 0.10 difference depending on the book. Crazy not to take advantage of that – with proper line shopping(and we do the hard work for you) it’s like free money.
I mean heck at the very LEAST have an account at Pinnacle Sports who have the best odds most of the time.
Lightning vs Islanders Game 3 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Isles look to be getting some of their injured players back for this game. They’re at home and play well there. I think the Lightnings injuries to key players is going to start to catch up with them.
Islanders win
Canada: 2.00 Odds at Pinnacle Sports.
USA: +100 Odds at Bovada.
Everyone Else: 2.00 Odds at Pinnacle Sports.
Graeme: This one is tied 1-1 after 2 and now they head to New York. Tampa were fairly average on the road during the regular season, and in the playoffs so far they lost to the Wings then had a close one against them. Islanders in the playoffs at home have been disappointing so far with a 2-1 record however overtime needed for two of those. I think Tampa know they’re going to have to push really hard in this game, and their offense has showed they are more than a match for the Islanders. I’m going with Over 5 Goals.

Sharks vs Predators Game 3 Betting Tips:
Scott: As we have mentioned before, the Sharks are a better team when they’re on the road. A huge reason for the Sharks success so far in these playoffs has been Pavelski. Many questioned Peter DeBoer’s desicion to promote him to captain with Thornton and Marleau still there but he has proven why he wears the C. The Preds haven’t shown me a reason to think they can win this one. Sharks on the road, I like their chances.
Sharks win
Graeme: Sharks had the best road record in the NHL during the regular season. They won all 3 of their road games against the Kings. They’re underdogs. By no means do I think it’s a lock – but man, I think you gotta be crazy not to bet on the Sharks to win here.

Blues vs Stars Game 3 Betting Tips:
Scott: This is turning out to be a great series. Pietrangelo is playing out of his mind and the Stars are getting by without Seguin. The Stars pulled Lehtonen after he allowed 3 goals in the 1st and Niemi finished the game well but the Blues won it in OT. No idea who gets the start for them in this one. I’m having a hard time coming up with a tip for this game and I don’t want to force one either.
NO BET
Graeme: Really enjoying this series. It’s tied 1-1 and both teams look like they can win it. Stars on the road in the playoffs have averaged 3.67 goals for and against per game. They were also the highest scoring team on the road in the regular season, while a top 10 team for goals conceded. I love the way the Stars play on the road. It makes for an exciting game and I’m taking Over 5 Goals in this one.

Everyone Else: 1.77 Odds at Pinnacle Sports.
Thanks S&G, concur with the tips today. Unfortunately, so do the odds makers. I am only getting -150 for the Stars-Blues over on my site, so no bet there. However, I’m going with the other tips and adding 2.5+ goals scored for both teams in the Blues-Stars game. good luck boys
Under or not It’s not for beauty now. Don’t expect many goals unless some team show throat waiting for vengeance
