In what could have been the concluding game of the series, the San Jose Sharks came out flying on Thursday night to go up 2-0 early.
The Penguins clawed their way back pretty damn promptly though, only for the Sharks to get a 3-2 lead and hold on – with an empty netter wrapping it up.
It was yet another great game and close battle in the series. With so many tight games, this is one series that we’d say really deserves a game 7.
But will we see one? Game 6 takes place in San Jose where the Sharks won 1 and lost 1, with the win in OT so we’re expecting another tight game.
Should be a good one.
Sharks vs Penguins Game 6 Betting Tips:
Graeme: What a game this is. At this point things like statistics don’t really matter much – it’s more about feeling. We’ve all watched the previous 5 games and we’ve got to know both these teams throughout the playoffs – so we know what they are all capable of.
I want the Sharks to win – that’s for sure. More than anything though I want that just because I want a Game 7 between the teams. There’s nothing better than that.
I’m going to go with the entertainment bet on this one. I’ll be watching it with Scott tonight and my money is going to be on Over 5 Goals. I also think both these teams will come out fast hoping to get some dominance going – especially the Penguins after the last game.
Scott: The Sharks were down 3-1 in the series but with the win last game they now have a chance to push it to game 7. Only once has a team came back to win a finals after being down 3-1 and that happened back in 1942. This is going to be a great game and it’s hard to predict the outcome. I predicted and want the Sharks to win the series but the Penguins are a strong team who gets scoring from all 4 lines, are the faster team and have outshot the Sharks by a wide margin in each game.
Burns, Couture and Pavelski all scored for their first goals of the series and with that out of the way will they get back to scoring with ease as they have done in the first 3 rounds? I am going to take the Sharks in this game. With some of their key players snapping out of their scoring slumps and with home ice advantage they have a good chance to go back to Pittsburgh for game 7.

It’s impossible to make a sharp bet I’m this series. Both teams deserve to be here and it will be decided by bounces, not by dominance. I think its a tighter game than last one, so I’m going with OT
IMO Pittsburgh will close this today… It’s been tight scores but Pittsburgh has been the better team by far… I don’t think Jones will shine every game so I believe it will end today
