It was a 1-2 night last night with the NHL Tips on a night with some real interesting games.
I said yesterday that I wasn’t sold on the Lightning and I was on the money there as Tampa got beat by the Canucks. Tampa started strong but blew their lead. We had Over 5.5 in that one and thankfully an empty netter got it for us. Honestly I expected more from the Tampa offense.
Unfortunately I didn’t doubt the Flames enough – or maybe I just didn’t give the Jackets enough credit. We had the Flames to win but the Jackets got a big win. I watched that one this morning and there’s something beautiful about the Jackets at the moment – team cohesion and spirit is at an all time high.
And finally we lost with the Over 5.5 in the Kings/Penguins game and I don’t even want to talk about that one!
We turn our attention to Saturday, December 17th. An interesting day. Apparently Price is going to start for the Habs. After last night are they going to bond together and put on a huge performance? Or is pulling him going to cause a lot of drama?
Write-ups are going to be short today and no odds comparison. I am used to working with my desktop computer and multiple monitors etc. I have a pretty rad setup. However we had multiple kids stay over last night and I am reduced to this:
Which hey is a nice enough setup but I am just not used to working on a laptop as much. This is my usual setup:
Which in the morning has all the NHL action going from the previous night, or previous matchups between teams who are playing tonight or sports recap shows etc.
Quite the difference.
Coyotes vs Wild Betting Tips:
I’ve got to take the Arizona Coyotes here with Darcy Kuemper in net. Bet based on Smith being in net for the Coyotes.
Coyotes are around 3.30-3.35 and that line just feels like it reflects Dubs being in net. Other than the Sens game Kuemper has been poor all all season I’ve felt. Wild are more than just Dubs but until Kuemper can step up I’ve got to bet against him.
Devils vs Senators Betting Tips:
I like the Devils to win tonight and end their slump. They’ve been poor on the road but their performances in Ottawa over the past couple of seasons will give them the confidence – knowing they can win here.
Condon looks to be in net for the Sens and he’s been strugging these last few games to put it lightly. While they get Borowiecki back they are without Hoffman which is a big loss. Knowing Borowiecki he’ll probably give the Devils a PP within a minute of the game starting.
Lightning vs Oilers Betting Tips:
Tampa are one of those teams that really just need to adapt a kamikaze attitude. “We can’t stop the goals going in so let’s just try and score as many as we bloody can” and hopefully they do just that tonight against the Oilers.
Always competitive games between the teams and two top 10 offenses. The way Tampa are at the moment I’d be scared to bet them to win or lose but I see this being a very open high scoring game and am taking Over 5.5 Goals. I’m liking the line changes in Edmonton to help with this.

I think there is a mistake from yesterday it was over 5 on the lightning but ya it did hit
Early games:
> Coyotes to win (just a small shot here)
> Stars/Flyers -> This one should be go OVER 5.5
Carey price is 28-1-1 in his last 30 games played on Saturday, I can’t bet against those numbers
Montoya will be in net, so you can..?
Daily Faceoff confirmed Price will be back in net since he was pulled in the 2nd Period of last nights game
Price is confirmed, and if you’re taking the Haps, better grab them now while they are +130 underdogs!
They were +170 last night, means good money is coming in on them
56% to 44% split in favor of the Canadiens.
I don’t really care about stats from the past – Caps are the better team!
Johnny which of tonights teams are the safest to make a parlay ducks, pens?
Tough to call. Propably these two, yeah. But I don’t like to play parlays very much. IMO it’s not easy to make one today.
I dont like to make parlays too ,but got one good nba pick and was thinking to make a parlay with good odds @ 7 combined with these 2 teams.
I feel Ducks should be safe in a parlay, detroit haven’t showed signs of bouncing back any time soon with all of their issues, not sure about the Pens though, they are the better team here, but Toronto can surprise at home this season, it’ll be a fast paced game regardless, and both goalies will have a lot of work to do, Andersen > Murray though in my opinion
Rangers odds are insane considering Saros is in net for the preds tonight, I liked Henrik Lundqvist’s recent performance too (ML) has value
What do you think about Stars-Flyers going Over 5,5 and Predators-Rangers going Over 5?
I’m on the under in the first one
Ducks in reg. – Ducks are 7-2-1 (won 4/5 latest) and Wings are 3-4-3 in the last 10 (lost 4/5 latest). Ducks have won 4 of the last 5 against Wings, and 4 in a row at Joe Louis Arena.
Wings have scored 1-1-0-1 goals in the last 4 vs. 4-2-5-3 for Ducks.
Only Islanders have played more home games than Wings, but Wings are only ranked no. 26 in terms of points collected on home ice in the league this season.
Ducks are ranked no. 4 in PP while Wings are ranked last in the league. Wings are ranked 6 in PK vs. 20 for Ducks.
Based on these figures I am picking Ducks in regulation @ 2.25.
Washington is 2-5 in its last 7 games when playing with 0 days rest
Project Lion 2/15
Wings vs Ducks OT
Good luck everyone
This is a risky one, isn´t? you usually like to bet on 50%-50% chances, what happened?
True, its a risky one. I feel very strongly that game will go to OT. I will update my over under and regulation tips later.
Yesterday Sabres got the win, but only in OT…
Coyotes ML @ 3.10
December: 9/16 +3.75
That’s all for now! GL!
Lets hit this .
Ari ML
Philly ML
St. Louis ML
Pit ML and over2.5g
Oilers ML
Flyers, Ducks and Penguins in regulation, Coyotes and Devils ML.
Devils ML
Pens ML
Sabres ML
Habs ML
Bolts/Oilers O5.5
parlay
Dophins -2.5 / Devils ML / Pens ML pays 7:1
GLTA
Why would you put Devils in that? Just curious, Ducks seem like a much better bet
Marc-Andre Fleury is in net for the Pens tonight, what is your opinion on that game?
Thinking of taking Devils (ML) simply because the Sens have not shown any signs of improving, where as the Devils really need to pick up a win tonight and haven’t played bad by any means recently regardless of losses.
Under / Over
Canes vs Sabres +5.5
Wings vs Ducks – 3.5
Senators vs Devils +5.5
Leafs vs Penguins – 4.5
Caps vs Canadians -5.5
Predators vs Rangers -5.5
Blues vs Hawks +5.5
Oilers vs Lightning -4.5
Regulation
Canes win
Predators win
Blues win
Good luck everyone!
Going for Rangers (ML), Chicago (ML), Habs (ML) and Canes (ML)
Nice job!
Thanks man, hit all 4 😀
Devils in regulation 100%
hey guys !
my name is justin i am from montreal!
@alanson are you still betting ? or ist your system down at the moment regards !
I appreciate your work
today i like:
Blue Jackets REG.
The Blue Jackets are:
4-0 in their last 4 vs. Pacific
5-0 in their last 5 road games
The Canucks are:
1-4 in their last 5 vs. a team with a winning % above .600
1-8 in their last 9 games following a win
The Columbus Blue Jackets shouldn’t have a hard time stopping the Vancouver Canucks, even on the road. Actually, Vancouver’s lone advantage in this one might be the simple fact that they’ll be on home ice. Columbus has assumed the “most dominant team” label in the NHL and won’t think twice as they pick apart the Canucks on Sunday afternoon with both high shot volume and consistent puck possession.
Hey Guys!!
ALANSON are you still here ?
