Today is the last day of the season.  We now know who made the playoffs and most of the first round matchups.

What an amazing night of action last night.

It’s been 4 years, long ones for Leaf fans, but the Leafs are headed back to the playoffs after their 5-3 win against the Penguins last night.  Matthews scored his 40th goal of the year becoming only the 15th rookie in NHL history to do so.  He is also one of only 4 rookies to score 40 or more goals before turning 20 years old.

The Sens beat the Rangers 3-1 and clinched home ice for the first round of the playoffs.  The Oilers won 3-2 against the Canucks and the Sharks beat the Flames 3-1.

10 games for us today and no tips.   But we will go over some of the games and let you know what we like but there in no official tips.

After today we will be back with our series predictions starting on Tuesday.  It’s going to be a great couple months of hockey.  It’s the reason for the season.

Blue Jackets vs Leafs:   This is a huge game for the Leafs.  If they can get a win or a point from a OT/SO loss then they will face the Sens in the first round.  If they lose in regulation then they will face the Capitals.  The Leafs have never lost to the Sens in the playoffs.  With the way the Jackets have been playing, 6 losses in a row, and the Leafs having a chance to play Ottawa I like their chances in this one.

Canucks vs Oilers:   Another huge game taking place.  If the Oilers can win this game and the Ducks lose then the Oilers would win the Pacific and take on the Flames in the first round which would be amazing.  I like the Oilers to win this game and let fate decide the rest .

Hurricanes vs Flyers: Both teams have been eliminated.  Bryan Bickell announced his retirement from the league.  Bickell was diagnosed with MS on November 11th and fought back to  make his return to the NHL for 2 games this season.  Bickell leaves the league having won 3 Stanley Cups.  As someone who also has this disease, I have nothing but respect for Bickell and wish him all the best as he moves forward in life.  Hopefully with Bickell being a retired NHLer this will help bring more attention to MS as they look to find a cure. I see the Canes coming together to win this game for Bickell

Kings vs Ducks:   If the Ducks can get a point from a win or a regulation loss than they will clinch the Pacific.  The Kings have had a down year.  And this could be the last game for Jarome Iginla.  He turns 40 in July.   He needs 1 more goal to pass Joe Sakic for 15th all-time with 626 and 1 more point to hit 1300 for his career. I hope the Kings can go out and win this game for the legend and I hope he can score in his final game.  I like the Kings in this one.

I like also the OVER 5.5 at Flyers/Canes. What do you think @betnhlca:disqus ?

BensonD

Well my team made it to the playoffs even after scoring on themselves. Yay!

Predictions are getting impossibly difficult so I’m going to straight up pick 4 teams and Parlay. I don’t and would not put more than $5 on these types of bets.

All Regulation wins, parlay.
(Toronto, Detroit, Tampa, St.Louis)

GLTA!

Matthew

I will most likely add there Caps and Oilers… It is a last night of the regular season so lets give it a shot…

BensonD

I considered the Caps and Oilers as well but they are a little more expensive and don’t add tons of value, the variables exponentially go up as the teams are stacked.

Matthew

Or maybe just the Oilers, they need it, Caps dont…

Roisa

300$ on caps and oilers in reg. God or bad idea?

Johnny Hockey

Oilers, Oilers, Oilers!!!

LeDemonBlond

Red Wings in reg
Last game at the Joe ought to boost Detroit?

Mojo

Seems relatively obvious to go with Wings (last game at Joe Louis), Leafs (to avoid the Caps), Kings (huge value), Oilers to win the pacific. $25 regulation parlay to win $405. All day

Petri Kontiola

I take this.

AlansonD

New Jersey ML ODD 2.75 with 10 units

Tampa ML
Leafs ML
Pittsburgh ML
Capitals ML

Cu next season.

Caesium

I am with you tonight grabbing Devils ML @ 2.80

GLTA and see you next season!

John Uduak

what of BLUE in regulation

Oliver Trigg

I’m going for it- betting against the avalanche has been a money maker and St Louis will want to carry strong form into the playoffs. Avalanche away and having nothing to play for…

Matthew

Took them

Vadim Baruzdin

EDM, CBJ, CAPS,

Western RattlersD

To WIN: Tampa, St. Louis, Washington, Edmonton
Detroit on their emotional arena closing day still hasn’t played like a predictable winner, so I’ll pass there.

Oliver Trigg

You called Caps, wish I’d called it too!

Juri

Great sports night for all!
Taking some parlays, maple leafs over 5, Tampa, blues, ducks, oilers, capitals money lines. Will check the teams / players Inplay and get some more tonight.

Tomislav Štefanac

Succsessfull night last night… Tonight I will go for Columbus, St. Louis and Anaheim, all in regulation! Any other sugestions?

Matthew

I doubt CBJ win in reg but everything is possible…

Juri

That was nice bet, only Ducks won post regulation.
Have not succeded, as Caps lost, nice matches though.
