In this article we’ll be talking about the two west coast games and providing our thoughts on these series.
The Minnesota Wild host the St. Louis Blues and the Edmonton Oilers host the San Jose Sharks.
Let’s get to it:
Minnesota Wild vs St. Louis Blues Series Betting Tips:
Graeme: The Wild finished the season 7 points ahead of the Blues in the Central division, with a much better goal differential. The Wild were generally consistent throughout the season except for a nasty run in March, while the Blues had quite a few rough patches. They finished the season strong however, and their positive run coincided with the Wilds bad patch.
A big change for the Blues that helped them was Mike Yeo being put in charge. I have to say I’m really looking forward to this series. In one side you’ve got Dubnyk who has proven himself time and time again this season. On the other end Jake Allen is coming in hot. Then you’ve got players like Tarasenko and Staal. It’s going to be a real interesting series.
I’ve got to go with the consistency here and I’ll take the Minnesota Wild to win the series. I think it will be a close series but I think the Wild will pick up a win on the road. Wild in 6. available at 6.00 odds.
Scott: This could be one of the closest series in the first round. The Blues won the season series 3-2
The Blues managed to finish in 3rd place in the Central division. If not for some strong play from Jake Allen down the stretch than the Blues would be on the outside looking in.
The Wild were once on top of the West but struggled down the stretch getting passed by the Blackhawks in the process and going 1-7-2 over 10 games in March.
The Wilds Devan Dubnyk is the better goalie in the series, have more depth at forward and home ice advantage in this round so I’m going to with them to win the series that has potential to go the distance
Wild in 7 available at 5.50 odds.

Edmonton Oilers vs San Jose Sharks Betting Tips:
Graeme: The Oilers are in the playoffs finally. They’re heavily favouried with the bookies placing them 3rd favourites to win the West behind the Blackhawks and Wild.
This is a very tricky series. If it wasn’t for Thornton and Couture having their injury issues I’d be all over the Sharks. However that, and poor performances on the road, concern me. That run of road games in March was insane and they looked absolutely brutal.
To be honest I really want to back the Sharks here. I think this is a big step up for this Oilers team who rely too heavily on McDavid. However the injuries on the Sharks side, their tanking in the last month and McDavids record against the Sharks has me backing the Oilers to win the series. I’ll take Oilers in 6.
Scott: The Oilers come into this game going 9-1. They won the season series 3-2. After many terrible years the Oilers are finally showing that they are a team to be feared. And their fans deserve this as they haven’t had a chance to watch their team in the playoffs for 10 years.
The Sharks are the oldest team in the league and after playing so much hockey last year with a trip to the finals, will fatigue catch up to them? The health of Joe Thornton and Logan Couture could really affect this series.
The Oilers Conner McDavid is on fire right now. He had 25 points in the final 14 games and his momentum should carry on to this round. But it’s all the youth on the Oilers that should and will carry them through to the next round.
Oilers in 6 available at 5.75 odds.

Today’s tips.
Good day guys, i have a difficulty to find all these series in my SPORTSBOOK. I”m using SUPABET.COM.GH and SOCCABET.GH. please i need a help. Thank you very much
Penguins to win. May even go to under.
Pick to WIN: Edmonton
Lean to WIN: Pittsburgh
For Game 1 of Round 1 I’m usually not willing to take anything seriously because so much often goes against what’s expected. I think Edmonton’s a pick tonight, all things considered; the momentum, skill set, matchup and sense of timing favor Edmonton. They’re running hot and eager to play, they aren’t the very best team (smugness problems avoided) nor are they the worst team (who can sometimes panic and win a game purely on adrenaline, usually early in a series (or to avoid elimination), though not a series). I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised that in Game 1 or 2, Pittsburgh absolutely flattens Columbus, something like 6-1. Pittsburgh will win the series and be wanting to take this series quickly. It would be unfortunate to go 6 or 7 games in Round 1 and get into fatigue.
