Despite missing Sidney Crosby, the Pittsburgh Penguins managed to get a massive 3-2 victory over the Washington Capitals. It was an incredible result for the Penguins who blew a 2-0 lead but got back on top and kept it that way.
Fleury stepped up big time and it was great to see. His performances in the playoffs have been fantastic after a brutal regular season. I mean legit – when we were doing the betting tips each day the first thing we’d look at is if Fleury was in net. If he was, we were ready to tip the Over.
In the other game the Edmonton Oilers also dropped a 2-0 lead and went behind. They clawed their way back into it only to lose in ovetime.
Controversial referee decisions were the story of that game – especially the challenged goal. The main issue about that is a lack of consistency throughout the season.
However Oilers fans need to look beyond that and at the issues their team had. Inability to contain Getzlaf. On the first controversial goal it was brutal turnovers that resulted in the chance. And the overtime call – icing is a judgment call by the linesman in that spot. Either way – why the hell would you leave a player like that all alone in front of the net?
Oilers fans are certainly justified in the bad referee calls but there were still a lot more issues for them in that game.
We move onto tonight with just the one game. The Ottawa Senators take on the New York Rangers. The Sens lead 2-1 and the Rangers look to tie it up before going back to Ottawa.
Senators vs Rangers Game 4 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Rangers played their best game of the playoffs so far and it resulted in a 4-1 win. The series is still 2-1 Ottawa.
If the Rangers can come out and play the same way in this game than they have a shot in this one. They were the best road team during the regular season but didn’t have the same success at home. But they have turned things around there winning their last 3 games in New York.
The Sens looked bad in game 3. Anderson will need to be better in this game as he has allowed 9 goals over the last 2 games.
All signs point towards the Rangers continuing their strong play at home but as its been all season long for the Sens, you can never count them out

Graeme: I said I refuse to bet against the Sens and I’m sticking to that. Game 3 was a must-win scenario for the Rangers and they did that. After their results in Ottawa last time they have consider this another must-win game. So on that note if I was betting against the Sens I’d take Rangers in regulation like last game.
But I’m not.
Last time I correctly tipped Bobby Ryan to get at least a point and I’m going to back that again this time. Nothing has changed. Hell if anything I feel even better about it. His points in the Bruins road games weren’t super convincing but with just the 1 goal in the last game he was able to get a point.
I feel confident he can do the same as I’d think the Sens have a more competitive performance.
I’m going to back Bobby Ryan to get at least a point available at 888 Sports. Americans – check out the player props at Bovada.
I want the Sens to win too. NYR ‘showed up’ for game 3 backed by great goaltending and I think we’ll see the same in game 4. The Sens will be more competitive; Afterall, 2/3 games were decided by 1goal and even though they were outplayed in game 3, they won. Home ice, Lundquist, speed and desperation favour the ‘blue shirts.’ Celebs can add luck too:) Should be a good one. Good luck.? Congrats to all the Pens winners.
