Another nice betting day for us yesterday with our individual picks going 3-1 as we win both player props.

The Ottawa Senators took an impressive 3-2 lead in the series against the New York Rangers, with a 5-4 victory in overtime.

It’s been an amazing series and now those two go to New York for Game 6. The Sens performed poorly there both times – can they overcome that and pull off the biggest shock of the 2nd round?

Going to be a good one.

The Capitals beat the Penguins 4-2 off the back of a strong 3rd period performance where the Caps actually looked like a playoff team. If they played like that in every game you might as well hand them the cup right now.

It’s Sunday, May 27th and we’ve got two games on the board.

The Nashville Predators host the St. Louis Blues and the Edmonton Oilers host the Anaheim Ducks.

The Predators and Ducks can progress with wins tonight.

Here’s our thoughts:

Predators vs Blues Game 6 Betting Tips:

Graeme: I’d expect the Preds to wrap it up here but it’s really hard to count out the Blues. Allen has the ability to step up.

I’m going to take Alex Pietrangelo Over 2 Shots. I mean all he needs is 2 for a push. On the road last time he had 6 and also put up 5 against the Wild early on. Even in the regular season on the road he was getting the shooting opportunities more.

Canada can bet that at Bovada. For everyone else I’m not sure but 888 Sports are the best for player props.

Scott: The Preds can end this at home today.

The Blues looked great in game 5 and will need the same effort to stay alive in this series.

The Preds have been great at home so far winning all of their games there.  The crowd is insane there, the loudest of the playoffs, and the Preds are feeding off of that.  They have a chance to move onto the conference finals for the first time in franchise history in front of their home crowd and reward them for their loyalty.

I like the Preds to win this game but the odds aren’t great for that and with all games but one being decided by a goal I can’t back the regulation win so I’m going with a player prop.

James Neal has scored in the last 2 games and I expect him to get a point for the Preds in this one.

James Neal to register a point for 2.10 odds at 888 Sports

Ducks vs Oilers Game 6 Betting Tips:

Scott: After losing the first 2 games the Ducks have won 3 in a row to turn the series around. The Oilers were winning 3-0 with 4 minutes left in game 5 but the Ducks stormed back to force OT and win it.

The Oilers need to ignore the 2 video reviews from the last 2 games that didn’t go their way and get focused on this game.  They have a chance to snap this losing streak at home and take their chances in a game 7 in Anaheim.

The goal totals have been high in this series with all games but 1 going over 7 goals.  I see that continuing.

Over 5.5

Graeme: We had a dual pick of Over 5.5 in the last game and we won it. My concern for that one was that Talbot would put on an amazing performance and to be honest he did that. We got very lucky with that over.

I can’t bet against Talbot at the moment. I also think after the latest refereeing controversies that we see the Oilers have things go their way this game.

I actually think there’s going to be a convincing win for Edmonton tonight so I’m placing a value bet at 2.30 odds.

Oilers to win in regulation.

Tonight i like Blues and Ducks. Both in regulation.

Arto Reinikainen

I anticipated the Oilers to lose game 5, and before that game i thought that if they do lose it, im going for them in game 6.

But the more i’ve thought about it.. i just think the way they lost it might end up hurting them in this game. It’s a young team and to bounce back with the best game of the series is tough.

Also Sekera is out and Gryba draws in.. he’s a trainwreck.

Edmonton is still very dangerous here and the Ducks know it, there’s no way they have any type of “we’ve got it in the bag” attitude and instead they should be ready to go to work knowing that they’re very fortunate to be up 3-2.

Im taking a chance on Ducks ML, IMO the odds are worth it.
