It was another great night for us yesterday as we went a perfect 2-0 with the tips.

We had the Battle of Pennsylvania game going over 6.  Although this game had a slow start, Pens 1-0 after the first, the action picked up in the 2nd and the Penguins won 5-4 in OT. Guentzel had a big game scoring twice and adding an assist while Crosby had a goal and two helpers.

Our other win of the night was the Canadiens to beat the Jackets and they did winning 3-1.  Price looked great again in this one as he made 37 saves.  The win snapped the Jackets win streak at 6 games.

The other games of the night were also amazing.  The Hawks beat the Ducks 7-3 and the 5-foot-7 DeBrincat became the 2nd youngest player in Hawks history to score a hat trick.

The Panthers beat the Devils 3-2 and with the win Roberto Luongo became only the 2nd goalie to win 200 games with 2 different teams joining some guy named Patrick Roy.

The final game of the night saw the Jets  destroy the Wild 7-2.  The Jets were down 2-0 and then went on to score 7 straight goals.

A full night of hockey for us with 10 games.  Even with 10 games we could only come up with 2 tips.

Stars vs Knights Betting Tips:

The Stars have been bad this season on the road going 3-8-1.  If not for their strong home record they would be in the basement.

The Knights come into this game on a 5 game win streak and their home play has been incredible going 9-1.

Karlsson and Marchessault have been amazing for Vegas and with their great play and the Knights success on home ice we have to back them in this game.

Knights win incl OT/SO

Hurricanes vs Blue Jackets Betting Tips:

These teams are ranked high in shots per game.  The Canes are ranked 1st with 35.9 and the Jackets 4th with 34.9

The Canes are expected to start Darling and the Jackets Korpisalo.  So the number of shots faced should pose a problem for them.

The Jackets seem to find ways to score after taking a loss as the did last night.  So with the number of shots and the Jackets play when responding to a loss we are going to go with
Over 5.5 incl OT/SO for this game

Flames to win?

If you check h2h you can see how huge the impact of home arena. Wont it be tonight the main reason? Due to the fact that Flames made an affordable road series and Toronto is not being hot enough

Oliver Trigg

I agree, there is a very heavy home win slant advantage between these two sides.

Eddy

agree, plus they have a good record against leafs

Juri

Better not to bet for that match.

SanDiegoBruinsD

Over in this game is appealing

Iceman

Some guy Patrick Roy that one that would never played for Montreal again right!!

I went 2-1 yesterday, with my instinct on Columbus winning being wrong. I was worried their limp offence might not show up, and they did another 1 goal game…

My mood wasn’t great last night with the Jets going down 2-0 very quickly (and it was almost 3-0 with a goal ruled out for offside) , but the Jets responded and helped me recover. I tipped the Hawks in reg, but I couldn’t bring myself to bet them due to my history this season with them. Todays tips-

Knights ML- I agree completely with Scott here, and see Vegas taking this. Subban has been great back in goal and this Knights team has been good to my wallet. I don’t want to overanalyse this game, but the Knights 9-1 record at home vs Dallas 3 wins on the road tells me quite enough. On a side note, Dallas has also managed only 2 goals or less in 8 of their last 12 on the road, and in that time has given up 4 goals or more in 9 of their road games. That goal differential is enough to put me off even looking at the Stars.

Rangers ML/Reg- I see this game ending in reg. Rangers have had two days off whilst the Panthers are on the end of back to back on the road. The Rangers last 2 games went into overtime and they managed the wins, in both cases the Rangers went behind. I highly doubt the Rangers are going to let that happen for a third game in the row today, and have to go through another nerve racking comeback and overtime. The Panthers have only managed to string 2 wins together once this season, and I don’t see it happening against a rested Rangers team who have won 8 consecutive home games. Look for Rangers to take the lead early and win in reg.

Islanders ML- I’ll be looking for more money in New York here, betting on a side who has won 6 of their last 7 games. The Canucks are good on the road sure, and the Islanders defence has been fragile and Canucks have had success against the Islanders. However, that being said this Islanders offence has been rolling, and with the Canucks playing their 5 consecutive road game tonight I’ve got to like the Islanders to have just that little bit extra in the tank.

San Jose ML- The Flyers have lost 8 in a row now, and have been unfortunate to lose 5 of those games in OT. The Flyers are going for an offence heavy approach trying to net more goals than they leak, but so far the bleeding is just too much for the offence to cope with. San Jose has one of the best defences in the league, and managed to shutout the Jets in their last game- considering the Jets scored 7 against the Wild last night thats a pretty impressive feat. San Jose were unlucky to lose agains the Knights on their last road trip, after making a stellar comeback, and will be looking for a win against a beaten down opponent. With the Flyers still sliding, I like San Jose who are 4-1 in Philly to win.

Lightning Reg- The Bolts have hit a bit of a speed bump lately, winning only 2 of their last 5, which has been out of character with their usual performances. However, if they’re going to get back in the groove there are few better times to do it than against a Sabres team who have 6 total wins all season. Only 4 of the Sabres games have gone into overtime and I think the Lightning will come out firing here. Oh and yeah Tampa have won the last 5 contests in Buffalo and 7 of the last 8.

Leans – Nashville, Calgary, Oilers, Jackets.

Johnny Hockey

First thoughts:

> Tampa (Reg)
> Jackets/Canes OVER 5.5
> Islanders (Reg)
> Rangers (Reg)
> Flames/Leafs OVER 5.5
> Oilers (Reg)
> Vegas (ML)

magus1349

-1.5units last night.
Blackhawks, Leafs and Stars with 1 unit;
Donskoi, Marleau and Radulov with half unit.

Nik

1-1 last night.

Lightning reg 2.10
Kings ML 1.95
Sharks ML 1.85
Isles-Canucks over 5.5 1.81

I’m really confident with sharks and the over on isles-canucks tonight. Flyers are tired and probably frustrated losing again in OT making it an 8 loss streak whereas the sharks are rested and have played well recently.

The Islanders offense is on fire and Vancouver’s road record recently has been effective and high scoring with 4 games going over in the past 5.

I like the odds on Kings as well. I’m just not too sold on Red Wings right now.

Graeme (BetNHL.ca)

I was very tempted by the Islanders/Canucks over. The only real negative I had was the Islanders celebrating that defensive victory over the Sens – I wonder if they’re going to focus on that aspect of their game more this time out. Scott didn’t like the over much so we didn’t make it an official tip. I’ve got a small bet on it though.

Caesium

You know Graeme, I like the under because of that and also because I think Canucks will go in the same way to avoid another turnover like the one vs Rangers. Nilsson is confirmed and they are also missing Dorsett and Sutter. All good trends for the under. At same time I am thinking that I am crazy for leaning the under…

slyNHL

As well Canes over 2.5 isn’t more confident to believe in? Cant be sure about Jackets have enough power after Hubs

NSH Reg, NYR Reg, TBL -1.5 (best team vs worst team)

Alex Sluzhakov

Will try Canucks ML.

Western RattlersD

To WIN: San Jose, Rangers, Vegas
One lean and no time to check into Over/Under today. I don’t feel confident Tampa will show up and win tonight, they go against Buffalo and Boston which should be two wins, a back to back today and tomorrow and well rested for it, but these “best vs worst” team situations are always upset territory and Tampa will want to win tomorrow for sure; they may decide to email in today’s performance and thereby lose it. Toronto is 7-2-1 in the last ten, they are 7-4-1 on the road and Calgary has an outrageous lack of scoring depth. Calgary is a young team that wants Santa Claus to give them wins, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Toronto wipes them off the map tonight, 8-3.

Juri

Will only try Edmonton and Vegas Knights, single bets, – think both teams will win in regulation.

Like: Islanders and Rangers.

Calgary Flames – Toronto Maple Leafs will probably be an interesting one to watch.

SanDiegoBruinsD

Even before reading S&G’s tips I came up with the same bets as they did. I also like the over in the Stars-LVK game. For 1/2 unit try Bolts PL
