As always it was a great night of hockey. And a perfect night with the tips as we went 2-0!!
Our first tip of the night we went with the Jets to beat the Senators in regulation and oh boy did they!! They walked away with the 5-0 win. The Jets were up 2-0 after the 1st and didn’t look back. They scored 3 more in the 2nd and held on for the win.
Our second tip of the night was the Vegas Knights to beat the Coyotes. I was reluctant to take the Knights in regulation and for good reason. They won but needed extra time when they won 3-2 in OT.
The other games of the night saw the Kings win their 5th straight when they beat the Blackhawks 3-1. The final game was the Stars destroying the Avalanche 7-2. The Stars scored twice in the 1st, both from Seguin and held off the Avs push to pick up the win.
Another slow day of NHL action with only 4 games. I could only come up with 1 tip. Be sure to read the comments as there is always some great insight from our readers.
Islanders vs Panthers Betting Tips:
The Islanders lead the league in GPG with 3.72. But they are also ranked 24th in goals against with 3.24. So when the Isles play there is an average of over 7 goals.
The Panthers don’t score as many goals as the Isles but allow 3.35 a game.
Both teams lost their last games so they will be looking to get back into the win column. The Isles are going to be on the road for the next four games and after this game the trip doesn’t get easier with games against the Bruins, Lightning and Penguins.

We’ll see but from what i’m seeing I like my picks:
SJ-WAS : Philipp Grubauer 3.49 GAA for Washington and 2 Offensive Teams. Although I agree San Jose is not scoring alot this season. I’m hoping that between both teams it will be just enough.
Bos-Nash : Rinne in net and a defensive team Vs Khudobin 2.22 GAA and 7-0-2 this season.
Caps are 19th in gpg and Sharks are 29th. Grubauer has been lit up a couple of times which has skewed his GAA. He’s been pretty solid when starting except for this games.
Khudobin has been very good and Rinne is one of the best, but this could be a shootout. Preds are 12th in gpg and Bs have found scoring touch lately.
Could go either way in both games, good luck!

Capitals ML – Caps are playing a Sharks team that has to be running on fumes after a grueling 4 game road trip. Without much in the tank Sharks will have a tough time keeping up with a healthy Caps team playing in front of their fans.
Isles ML – Islanders will continue their winning ways versus a struggling Cats team. Isles are 4-1 in past 5, well-rested and will be looking to get their road trip off on the right foot. No concerns about Halak, he’s been big in past three games.
Bruins ML – Not betting the farm here, but the odds are good enough to back a Bs team that is finally clicking and pretty healthy. All the big guys are back and they have been playing very well. As we know Preds are a funny team and you never know which team shows up to play. Their home form is very good, but Bs could steal one here.

No play on Calgary? To be honest, I am struggling to find any plays at all today. If anything appeals it’s Calgary.
To me Calgary is a mid-pack team without consistency. Their GA is higher than their GF. PP is OK not great and PK is sub-par. Smith is ok but not elite. Flyers are terrible but will be pushing and we have seen how teams seem to come out flat vs bad teams to their detriment. Ex. Yotes the other night. I like Caps and Isles a lot tonight. Bs are a value bet

I was wondering why so many good teams are so unreliable, and excess penalties may be part of the answer, in addition to travel fatigue, motivation issues and injuries. Iffy…Calgary is not an elite team. Sure, they have put together some wins against good teams and their bounce back record is pretty good, but their GA is higher than their GF and they haven’t shown much consistency. Wow today is a pretty hard one, I’ve got to be honest I’ve not seen such hard matchups for a while. Managed a 3-1 yesterday, with Avalanche being the losing side. I’m not entirely surprised they lost, as Dallas have been superb lately. Anyway here’s what I’ve got for today-
Islanders ML- The Islanders are bound to be pissed after losing to the Sens the way they did, and will be looking for a bounce back here. This team has improved on the road hitting 4-1 in their last 5 now. With Halak in goal their defence should be sturdy than it was against the Sens. Florida has only won 2 of their last 8 home games and both required overtime. Wouldn’t take reg, but do like the ML. I don’t usually play totals, but with the Islanders this is generally a good play for the over.
Calgary ML- The Flames like NYI will be looking it bounce back after their loss to the Islanders, and they’ve got a good chance to here. The Flyers have lost their last 10, and keep looking increasingly lost. They’ve actually got worse after each loss, and I will bet against them until they start putting wins on the board.
