Regardless of whether you took Tampa to win, win in regulation or the handicap it was a winning night last night as they beat the Habs.
Montreal played pretty well against them from what I saw but the better team won in the end.
The Capitals beat the Bruins again and the Leafs vs Coyotes was a thriller. The Vegas Knights had a hard fought victory over the Kings as they continue to go from strength to strength.
Let’s get on with the tips for December 29th, 2017:
Devils vs Sabres Betting Tips:
I love the Devils at the moment. They’re a team who are showing a lot of quality and hard work and are really getting confidence in there.
They’ve had two solid victories against the Wings and Blackhawks and I like them to make it another one here – their last game before a road trip.
I’m taking the New Jersey Devils. No odds out yet but I expect it’ll be below 1.70 so have to take them in regulation, or if that’s below 1.68 do the -1.5.
Oilers vs Blackhawks Betting Tips:
The Blackhawks obviously have some real troubles at the moment and Crawford being out isn’t good.
Not sure if Glass or Forsberg are in net tonight – I’d prefer Forsberg to be honest as you often see a team really unite when starting a new goalie but I’ll take either.
Oilers are at that point where they’re realizing they need to go on a good run to make the playoffs and are fighting hard. They lost to the Jets but Jets were on a bounce back where they excel at and Oilers won 3 in a row at home.
I’ll be backing Edmonton Oilers to win.
Incl OT/So unless below 1.70 then regulation.
OHL / WHL / AHL / KHL Betting Tips:
(All below systems are based mainly on mathematics and statistics with very little human input and are deemed experimental. )
AHL Betting Tips (11-11, -0.88u): Rochester Americans incl OT/SO at 7/5.
OHL, WHL & AHL & KHL Betting:
Canadians: Bodog and 888 Sports.
Americans: Bovada.
Everyone Else: 888 Sports.
Devils and Oilers. Like Oilers regulation odd atm.
Bolts again and Ducks.
Jets match may go to over, but i took them to win.
Devils -1.5
Bolts -1.5
Jets/Isles o5.5
where did you get Isles-Jets 5.5?
Unibet Belgium 🙂 why? Is it not available for you?
I don’t have the option, and the line is 6 on my site.
Would still go for it, should be a goalfest. I like your other picks aswell. Let’s get that money
Great night last night!
Today’s parlay:
Heavy on Devils ML, Lightning ML
Small bet on Devils PL, Lightning PL, Jets/Islanders Over
Ps. Was skimming through yesterday’s comments and damn Oliver nailed every pick. Now that would’ve been a nice parlay! Nicely done bud!
He wasn’t 100%, Caps and LVGK both needed SO or OT. Can’t let him get a big head.
Really? I thought ML included SO/OT wins as well. At least it does for me on bet365
sorry, did he say ML?
my mistake
Hoping Jets/Isles game goes over!
Penguins, Wild, Avalanche and Ducks with 1u;
Nemestnikov, Spezza and Silfverberg with 0.5u.
Taking Wild really depends on the goalie, if Rinne is in net I’d like Preds ML. If Saros is to play, over 5.5
Should be Rinne, but i also lean a home team and the odd is fine.
A “+” night with LVGK continuing their roll. It took an OT win but I’ll take it. Just put some do-re-mi on them to win division, they are the real deal.
Lots of games tonight but I’m finding it hard to find sharp bets. The odds aren’t helping because the obvious plays are too high. For example, I like Oilers to beat Blackhawks but at -205? No way. I might consider regulation but only for a small bet.
There is some value with the Rangers ML. They’re certainly the better team but their road form is not good and Kreider is out indefinitely with a blood clot. He’s not a huge part of their offence but losing any regular forward is disruptive to a team. I also like the under in this game. Neither team is tearing it up on offence and the Rangers are capable of keeping things tight.
TML regulation is a pretty solid bet at +115. They dismantled the Yotes last night and I expect their offence to keep rolling tonight. I’m keeping my bet small because McIlhenney can be leaky but Avs will have their hands full with Matthews & co. especially without top D-man Barrie. Over could be a play here too.
Tough to pick a side in the Isles-Jets game. The last time they played the Isles stomped the Jets so the Jets will be looking to get even. I think the over is a pretty solid play at -125. I’ll be putting 1u there.
Check back later, I might have some updates.
GLTA SDB
Pickard has been called up to play for the TML tonight. McIlhenney is out with a lower body injury.
thanks for the update. I’m still good with TML in reg but like the over even more.
TML in reg @ +115 ?? :O
My bookie offers 1.7 Tampa to win in reg. thats -142. They should win but Im not taking them @1.7,
Also, I wanted to take Oilers but @ 1.8 (-125) in reg. – No thanks.
Leaning: Ducks ML, Devils reg., Jackets ML
I wouldn’t play Bolts reg for -142 either or Oilers -125 reg, but +115 for Leafs reg vs Avs feels like solid play. Your other leans sound good although I’m not on the Ducks wagon.
Watching the Knights they put up extremely strong efforts in the 3rd. Woke up to the game being 1-1 and saw they’d outshot the kings 15-2 in the second and were living in the kings zone in the third. Immediately jumped on the ML with a pretty large stake, as saw it was a matter of time before they took the game. Thought if not in the third then in OT where they have a habit of beating solid teams (like the Preds). Seems like a solid tactic watching the shooting of Vegas and betting accordingly in play. Often they turn up the heat, and like the Panthers game shut the opponent down and outshot them massively.
I hit my double again yesterday (Tampa ML & Leafs ML). Tonight hmmm. Something with Devils, Oilers and Tampa. I’ll update it.
Single: Jets/Isles OVER 5.5
Congratulations on those who won last night. I had doubts over TML so chose to keep my winnings from the previous evening. I watched the majority of the TBL game and thought it was decent – the game flowed well and TB really showed their poise and skill.
Onto tonight.
I like the look of Preds ML away at Minnesota.
I’ve been waiting to post this gif for a while lol. Hit my first sweep posting here (I don’t count going 2-0/3-0) going 6-0 last night. I also ended up taking Canucks over the hawks after seeing there was no Price, so waking up to a 7-0 win on my bets was pretty sweet. Again, I’m sorry I have to be short today, been so busy on holiday and again I’m exhausted. I have to some my research, but I’ll keep my reasoning short. I’m not so foolish as to think I’m about to get another sweep tonight, so I will post confidence to indicate the ones I like the most. As I have to be short I will comment one of the main reasons I chose each pick (not the only reasons though).
Devils Reg (85%) – Devils are top of the Metro, playing the best they have all season. Sabres still losing games. Devils won 4 of 5 v Sabres at home only 1 going to OT.
Jackets ML (80%) – Want to bounce back after dropping a good lead to lose in OT to Pens. Ottawa has Condon in net, shows no signs of improving yet.
Tampa Reg (95%)- Its Tampa and Tampa at home. Flyers won just twice in 6 years in Tampa.
Oilers Reg (85%) – Hawks have no Crawford. Oilers trying to make ground on playoffs, looked the best they have all season. Narrowly lost to Jets last game who are one of the best teams in the NHL. Hawks offence quiet again.
Ducks ML/Reg (85%) – Mostly healthy again, have home and rest advantage over Calgary. Ducks won 19 of last 20 at home versus Flames. Only 4 games ever gone to OT, 3 of which being in 2010,2011 and 2012.
Preds ML (80%) – 4 of their last 5 games Preds have conceded only a goal or less. Better team on paper, and will want revenge for giving up a 3 goal lead in their last meeting this season.
Jets Islanders over 6 (90%) – Both teams have subpar defence and goaltending but first class offence. Over has been a banker for Jets and Islanders games – over has hit in all last 5 h2h meetings.
Rangers ML (75%) – Detroit are all over the place. Rangers better team on paper and on the ice. Due to history of games being tight between the sides this is strictly a ML play.
Leafs ML (65%) – Colorado have lost 5 of the last 6 meetings against the Leafs at home. Avs have a tendency to be inconsistent, and show up when they like. Leafs playing better with Matthews back.
Canes ML (60%) – Canes have won their last 5 home fixtures, and need to make up ground to reach playoffs. Penguins are not the same team this year winning only 4 of their last 14 on the road. Pens have dominated this series so be cautious taking this.
Devils in reg. @ 1.86 = I agree with Graeme that Devils looks really sharp at the moment. Buffalo should be overmatched tonight.
Penguins ML @ 2.25 = Carolina is pretty strong at the moment but I think it is now or newer for the Pens – if they don’t take the W tonight the fantastic comeback against CBJ the other night is quickly forgotten. Pens have a few injuries, but I still think they will get the job done and get on a nice little hot streak.
Oilers in reg. @ 1.76 = With Crawford and now also Anisimov injured the Oilers looks to get the W tonight. Hawks are b2b and took a deep cut in the third period yesterday against Canucks. I don’t think they can cope with the Oilers offense which I think is starting to look good.
GL!

Yep, really like the Dallas Stars at home as well, odd is fine.
#5 Minnesota Wild – Nashville Predators
Full Event (Reg. Time) Away -0.50 (AH) @ 2.550
7/10 PINNACLE
Ice Hockey / NHL / Kick off: 30 Dec 2017, 02:05
fair value 2.175
The Predators have been solid on their own ice for the past few years now. But lately, they have also been dominating teams on the road, winning five of their last six away fixtures, going eight straight travels without a regulation defeat (6-0-2). The Wild have been pretty good in their home surroundings, coming out victorious in six of their last seven domestic contests. They have, however, lost four of the past five games played against teams with a solid winning record, so don’t be surprised if Nashville bags this one as victory cause they have a lot of speed and quickness.

Last Saturday afternoon, the Isles dominated the Jets on home ice, however this time the Jets are thinking payback, even though they’ll be without one of their best players. Winnipeg was dealt a big blow on Thursday, as forward Mark Scheifele will be out six-to-eight weeks with an upper-body injury. Blake Wheeler took over Scheifele’s spot as the top-line center at Thursday’s practice.
