Like the Kings to bounce back from their 2-0 loss to Stars but have to keep McDavid off the board. Kings shutout the Oilers 5-0 in Jan & beat them 5-2 in Feb. They have the edge in the crease: Quick 2.45GA. Oilers on a btob. Talbot 3.09/Montoya 3.23GA. No goalies confirmed. Kings have a lot at stake so they should be motivated. Ducks & Yotes are on a btob. Ducks play Oilers Sun and could go 2-0 but doubt they’ll get a quadruple shutout. Don’t know if any team has. Ducks have 4W & Yotes 4/5W.
Last 5gms: Ducks 11/Yotes 16GF Defensively, Ducks 6/ Yotes 8GA.
Miller is steady and Raanta’s numbers have improved for now. Like the Ducks chances but based on the GA, a possible Draw and ‘Under.’

Bruins/Leafs ‘TTG’ are set at 6 (bodog) but the Season series:
Leafs 3-2OT, 4-1 in Nov & Bruins 4-1 in Feb. Both teams can score but Rask 2.17/ Andersen 2.66GA.
Bruins 2.8 & Leafs 2.6 GA per gm in their last 5. Could be close but I favour ‘Under’ 6, or a possible ‘push’

Right guys, already posted my Flyers pick, but there is far more to play. Lets make that good green.

Flames Reg (65%) – I’ve said before that Flames can’t buy a win at home, but they’re a good play in this spot. They REALLY need points if they’re going to make the playoffs, and although the same is true for the Avs, the Avs are without some key parts. Most notably key defensemen Johnson is out, and considering Avs road from they need a steady D right now. Avs have not done well against Calgary, losing their last 4 meetings, and are only 1-6 on 1 days rest. Calgary on the other hand are 6-1 v the Central, and 9-2 in a 3-4 situation and 13-3 in a 4-6 spot. The goaltending issues of Flames don’t concern me that much Gillies is not half bad and neither is Rittich. Flames have been bad at home, but that has to end now especially after a disappointing road trip. Honestly speaking, the Avs are missing too many parts here, and although both sides will be motivated it is Calgary who have home ice and historical success on their side.

Devils Reg/ML (60%/70%) – This is part of operation fade Isles. The Isles defensive issues are just to serious to warrant playing them, even despite the Devils home troubles. The Devils have lost their last two but before that were on a 4 game streak, which included a win over Tampa in Tampa. The Devils handed a 4-1 defeat to the Isles in Brooklyn in mid-Jan, and are the more consistent team here. This will be a hard fought met battle, with both sides knowing their playoff hopes are in the mix. I will fade the Isles out of pure principle- they can score but they sure can let them in too.

Jackets Reg (70%) – This is by no means a cheap play at evens for a reg win, and considering the Jackets performances it is definitely overpriced. That being said, the Hawks have lost their last 4 games in Columbus, and are downright awful (don’t let their wins distract you). Chicago has lost their last 5 on the road and 2-8 when playing on 0 days rest, and with the Jackets hanging not he precipice of being kicked out the playoffs by the Isles or Canes need a win and need it now; a tired and awful Hawks side should be perfect. In an even simpler approach, I would rather take Bob over any goalie the Hawks put in tonight. Jackets bounce back.

Jets ML/Reg (70%/60%) – This line defies logic, even considering the Stars play at home. The Stars have Lehtonen in net and they come up against a Jets side vying for top of the NHL. The Jets have won the last 6 meetings with the Stars, including a 4-1 win in Dallas in November. Jets are usually on a tail team for me when they play at home, but considering the Stars sloppy play and the Jets recent performances the Jets are a live dog here.

Penguins Reg/ML (70%/75%) – The Panthers have been superb lately, and have more rest coming into this. That being said, all good things must come to an end and they probably will here against the Pens. Simply put the Pens are looking like a SC contender again, and are tearing through teams, hence why my confidence in reg. The Pens game last night was not challenging at all, and they made short work of the Canes; although I doubt it will be that easy for the Pens tonight, the Pens have won the last 5 meetings against the Panthers and all in reg. The Panthers have had a nice winning stretch, but none of those teams they played were playing at the level the Pens are right now. Have a think on it yourself, the Panthers played and beat- Capitals, Flames, Canucks x2 , Oilers, Wings, Sabres and Islanders. All those teams are struggling or at least have their issues (like the Caps tendency to take the night off, and Flames home troubles). Pens are just too good not to back as a dog here.

Bolts Reg (90%) – Look at that confidence rating <—. Yes, I love the Bolts to hand down a beat down to the Habs tonight, and also love Bolts team total over 3.5 tonight. The Habs are a transition team right now, and like the Sens and Rangers are rolling over most games. Winning isn't on their mind right now, rebuilding is and a few of their players are likely out the door. Considering Niemi is in net, I just don't see anything other than a Bolts win. In a nutshell, even with Tampas slip ups lately, they are team you need to play extremely well against to beat. Having no motivation to win, a sh*t goalie in net and plenty of transfer speculation going through the camp is simply not going to get you through the game. Anything can happen, but I'll eat my hat if Bolts lose this.

Bruins ML/Reg (65%/60%) – The Bruins struggle against the Leafs, but I like their chances here with Matthews being out. Toronto barely overcame the Isles in their last game, and missing your #1 centre isn't going to help. Bruins have the defensive stability that the Leafs often lack. Bruins got their revenge with a 4-1 dominant win over the Leafs earlier this month, and I see them getting another game off them to even the series at 2-2. The under on this game is probably a good play too.

Ducks ML/Reg (75%/70%) – The Ducks caught a break with the Kings losing to the Stars, but they need to solidify their playoff spot, and honestly despite the Coyotes recent success they are no match for the Ducks. The Ducks have not conceded a goal in their last 2 games, and have won the last three meetings against the Yotes. The Ducks the team with more to play for, and in perfect shape to control the game.

Kings ML/Reg (78%/75%) – In the same way Ducks need to solidify their playoff spot, the Kings need to gain ground on the Ducks and get a spot. The Oilers more often crash and burn than win games, and in their last 2 games handed away a 2 goal lead twice. The Kings have won every home game against the Oilers going back to 2011, and I don't see any reason why that is going to end today.

– The picks from Pens onwards are my preferred picks, but I struggled to choose a POTD.
