It was a day for the road teams yesterday in the NHL.
The Bruins got off to a huge start in their series against the Tampa Bay Lightning with a huge 6-2 victory. Good news for Bruins fans was Rask was really on form in that game and really up for it. That was something that was lacking from him in the previous round and this could be great for them if he can keep it going.
The Sharks and Knights went to double overtime and it tlook a PPG to wrap it up as the Sharks got a massive win which will help their confidence going forward. Sharks stepped up big in that game and props to them for that.
Sharks played a hard working and physical game and they’re going to have to put that effort in again in San Jose if they want to make a contest of this series.
Today there are two Game 2s as the Penguins take on the Capitals and the Jets take on the Predators. Haven’t heard anything from Scott today if he sends anything in I’ll post it in the comments..
Penguins vs Capitals Game 2 Betting Tips:
Graeme: The Capitals looked like they had game 1 wrapped up but blew their lead and the Penguins game back and won even tithout Malkin.
Malkin is expected back for todays game. I’ll be waiting for confirmation of that, and if Malkin plays I’ll bet 0.5u on Penguins to win. I think there’s just enough value in that. Penguins have looked the better team in my opinion throughout the playoffs and I’m not sure how big a factor home ice will be considering the last round. I’m fine with a small play on the dog here.

Jets vs Predators Game 2 Betting Tips:
Graeme: I’m always good backing a hot goalie, and I’m hoping that’s what the Jets have as they go into game 2 against the Preds. Hellebuyck was excellent as was the rest of the team in Game 1 and I’m going to hope that’ll continue here.
The concern is if the Preds get an early goal and I think they’ll be putting a lot of pressure on him right from the beginning, but the Jets have the ability to counter that.
Of course Rinne is most likely going to bounce back strong after being pulled last time so that’s a concern.
I may just be throwing money away here, but considering the Jets performances in the playoffs thus far I think there’s enough value for a small 0.5u play for Jets to win.
