It was an 0-2 night last night.
We had a 0.5u play on the underdogs Avalanche of Colorado and that didn’t pan out. The Jets of Winnipeg bounced back better than expected following their trip to Finland. It was a deserved win for the Jets despite a late rally by the Avs.
That was always a risky one but I was very disappointed as the Blues / Sharks game went under. Blues blew the Sharks out 4-0 as the Blues recorded their first shutout of the season. Sharks had some very solid chances but it just didn’t pan out.
The Leafs blew the Devils away 6-1 with a big 4-1 2nd period. And despite Stalock versus Gibson, the Wild thumped the Ducks 5-1. Frustrating one because as I mentioned yesterday I really wanted to pick that one but the goalie matchup threw me off.
We turn our attention to Saturday, November 10th. 11 games on the board.
Sabres vs Canucks Betting Tips:
I was quite happy to bet the over in the Sabres/Habs game and that came in nice and easy. The way the Canucks offense has been playing the last five games I feel obligated to do the same thing.
I get a bit scared when the media is leading with “this is going to be a high scoring affair” as if it’s a given yet it doesn’t seem to affect the line, which stands at 6.
Sabres are conceding 3.06 per game and Canucks are conceding 3.35 per game. Their offenses aren’t super consistent but the Canucks are clinical enough finishers while the Sabres don’t do a bad job either.
End of the day with the way both offenses are performing, have to go with it. I do have slight concerns though so we will go with 0.5u on Over 6 Goals incl OT/SO.

Stars vs Predators Betting Tips:
Based on the Stars performances at home I was going to take them as a nice little underdog. However when the Predators lose they battle hard. Look at recent games like 5-3 loss versus the Oilers or a 5-4 loss to the Sharks.
I see a similar battle here and it’s tough to say who will come out on top.
Stars haven’t had a lot of overs games this season overall however their last two at home went over in good battles and Stars/Kings hit 6 as well.

Penguins vs Coyotes Betting Tips:
Take the names away from these teams and this is an easy bet on the Arizona Coyotes.
It’s very, very possible that the Pittsburgh Penguins thrash them. It really is. But the way both teams are performing, I think this is a very easy value play. And honestly looking at a lot of the metrics I’m not sure if the Penguins actually can really turn things around – they’re playing as the stats suggest.
