A good bounce back night for us last night with the tips. After having a rough one the night before we went 2-0.
First we had over 5.5 in the Capitals vs Rangers game. This started out slowly when the Rangers scored the lone goal of the 1st period. Halfway through the 2nd it was 2-0 Rangers but something switched on for the Capitals after that. They scored the next 3 goals and came away 5-3 winners.
We had the Canucks to end their 8 game losing streak and win against the Kings. They traded goals in the 2nd and Vancouver scored twice in the 3rd to win 4-2.
The Leafs came out swinging when they beat the Flyers 6-0. Andreas Johnsson scored 3 times in the first period for the Leafs.
The Jets beat the Blues 8-4 and Laine scored 5 times in this one. It was the first 5 goal game in the NHL since 2011 and the first for a Maple Leaf since 1976.
The Knights exploded for 4 goals in the first and won 6-0 against the Sharks. This was Fleurys 2nd shutout in a row and 5th of the season already.
A slower day of hockey with only 4 games. I could only come up with one tip and it’s only a half unit play. Just too many questions about the other games and a couple heavy favourites where I would need to take them at least in regulation to have any value.
Flames vs Coyotes Betting Tips:
Both teams are coming off of losses.
The Flames had been scoring with ease with 17 goals over their 3 game win streak before getting shutout for the first time this year. Rittich took the loss in his last game which may allow the Flames to let Mike Smith get the start where he hasn’t had a strong year yet this season where he has a 3.48 GAA and an .876 save percentage.
The Coyotes are riding a 3 game losing streak into this game all of them at home. They’ll need to fix their home efforts as they play the next 4 there.
I expect the Flames to come out flying in this game and try and regain their scoring ways and I also expect a stronger effort from the Coyotes. I wanted to take Calgary to win but after getting shutout for the first time this year and the Coyotes needing to pick up a win at home I decided to go with the over instead.
