An excellent 3-0 day yesterday with the NHL Tips.
We had the Boston Bruins to win in regulation and continue their home domination, both this season and over the Coyotes overall. There was a late goalie surprise with Kuemper being in net. That ended up being a hell of a game with Boston scoring all 4 of their goals in the 2nd period to win 4-3.
We had the Toronto Maple Leafs to beat the Carolina Hurricanes and they did it with relative ease with a solid 4-1 victory on the road.
Finally we had Oilers to beat the Avs and continue their great run. They did that and despite letting in 4 goals Kiskinen continued to show his ability with 39 saves in that one. Oilers might just have something going now.
I want to tip the Blackhawks tonight so much. If they weren’t on the 2nd leg of a back to back I most likely would – although Ansimov being out obviously hurts that. Nice odds, Penguins can’t perform on the road, going up against a team like the Pens always motivates a team, a losing streak like this, being at home etc etc. Just can’t do it. It’d be a bad play but just one of those where my heart says to go with the Hawks.
Knights vs Islanders is a no play. Lehner is projected to play tonight and he is a BIG question mark. Stastny playing with the Knights it looks like and they may need time to adjust. I’m leaning towards the Islanders because the Knights have a terrible road record and wins over the Canucks and Hawks and pre-Hitchcock Oilers isn’t something to brag about. Not sure what we’re going to get with Lehner and Stastny may invigorate things.
Ducks vs Stars I feel with Stars on the road is a complete and utter coin flip – and the odds reflect that. Personally I’ll be betting it goes to overtime which is about 3.80 odds but that’s such a risky play and one we’ll never advise.
So just the one play tonight.
Flames vs Flyers Betting Tips:
Calgary lost the Battle of Alberta 1-0 when their offense was held down hard. Last time they were shut out they bounced back with a 6-1 win over the Coyotes. They’re not too shabby a bounce back team either and of course are an excellent home team.
Flyers are reeling after that 7-1 thumping by the Jets. They’ve had a couple of days off to reflect. They’re not too bad on the road.
Flames get Giordano back tonight which is great for the team as he has been sensational this year.
I think the Flames looking to bounce back, Giordano returning and their home form along with the Flyers trying to mix up their lines in a bid for success, makes this one a home team play. Smith is projected and I would much prefer Rittich but its not like the Flyers are playing an elite goalie so that cancels that out.
Flames in Regulation: 1u

OHL / WHL / AHL / KHL / Czech Extraliga Betting Tips:
Due to the upcoming World Juniors and players from these leagues participating in it or in training camps etc, I’ve decided to put these on hold until it is over. I’ve adjusted the system this year to more accurately calculate player statistics, missing players etc however I’d rather take this time to analyze it rather than provide betting tips.
The 2019 World Juniors ends on January 5th. Based on previous years data and results, I’ll resume these tips around the 12th-15th of January.
