That’s me back from Scotland now.
Big thanks to Scott for handling tips by himself the last week. Hard to keep track of the NHL as much as I’d like over there. Due to the times it was hard to watch many games live and I was pretty busy so it was hard to really watch lots of highlights although I did what I could.
In saying that while I am “caught up” it can take a bit to get back in the groove. Luckily I only have today then Scott has Sunday through Wednesday to be the primary point man with the tips so it will be nice and easy to get back in the groove.
I’ll play it a bit conservative today though. There’s a few that I am highly conflicted on. I think when you look at the way they are playing and the odds, Islanders are a must play. Yet I just have that feeling this is one that the Blues take. Can’t trust the gut feelings at the moment though so it’s a no play. Just one example of the conflicts I am feeling today. Sens is another gut play. Bruins in reg was a close one but just couldn’t pull the trigger for whatever reason.

Leafs vs Canucks Betting Tips:
Two tough games for the Leafs lately losing at home 4-0 to the Islanders – which I called – and then losing to the Wild as well.
They’re going up against the Canucks who are without Pettersson it looks like.
Michael Hutchinson is in net again. Not the best news. But we’re talking about one of the most electric offenses in the NHL. Last time they lost 2 in regulation they bounced back with a huge 6-0 win over the Flyers.
Knowing Hutchinson is in net I gotta go with the Leafs to step up and fire in the goals tonight. I had went with Islanders to beat Leafs as I felt Leafs would be complacent. After blowing that lead against the Wild I think that will be fresh in their minds as well and so they’ll work harder.

Lightning vs Sharks Betting Tips:
I mean this one really doesn’t need a write-up. Just look at the games these two are involved in over the past month especially. Two top 5 offenses with high PP% and SOG and ranked 15th and 21st for GAA.
Really the only concern I have is Sharks vs Vasilevskiy – they do seem to stumble against the odd goalie. But their offense is on fire at the moment and I’ve got to think they bring it for a game like this.
