It was a very close one yesterday but unfortunately our underdog play of the Florida Panthers didn’t come in. We did get our moneys worth though from an entertainment standpoint as it was a thrilling game that went to a shootout.
The Panthers had a big 3-1 lead, then went into the third period tied 4-4 and took an early lead but couldn’t hold on and the Knights tied it up then won in a shootout.
Just one of those plays where it was mathematically the correct bet, but didn’t pan out. That’s gambling.
Islanders seem to have the Leafs number and gave them another thumping. The Bruins beat Tampa and that’s won I’m kicking myself for as I think there was a missed opportunity there. When I first looked at that game I liked Boston but it’s very hard to bet against Tampa and I quickly put it on the “do not bet” list. Exploring it later in the day I feel we should have taken the Bruins there and I was a bit hasty.
Nice to see the Stars fight hard and get a win. Not good that they had to battle that hard against the Kings. They are not a playoff team in my opinion and that’s sad as I really rated them earlier in the season.
It’s Friday, March 1st. We had a good February and look to continue that this month as we get closer to the end of the regular season. Man – I am really looking forward to the playoffs. The work involved during the regular season is a lot ha – playoffs are a lot better as we generally throw most stats and trends out the window, watch the games and then offer our opinions. With the non-NHL all wrapped up it makes for much shorter mornings!
Interesting day today. Only one really heavy underdog as the Avs visit San Jose. Makes for an interesting night.
Canadiens vs Rangers Betting Tips:
After 5 road losses in a row, it was nice to see the Habs bounce back in style with an 8-1 thrashing of the Detroit Red Wings. That was something they needed to shake the road hoodoo away.
They now go up against the New York Raners who have had some stellar games lately and some high scoring ones.
These two teams have already combined for a couple of high scoring games this season.
The line is 5.5 which is a bit of a surprise and concerns me. But I’ve did my best to talk myself out of this one and can’t.

Penguins vs Sabres Betting Tips:
Penguins have quite a few injuries in their defence going into this one. They have to rely on their offense which has bode well for them in recent times with a couple of off games.
Sabres are still scoring despite a couple of losses and at home where they perform much better. Knowing they still have a chance of the playoffs – this is a massive game for them as the Penguins are one of the teams ahead of them in the wild card standings.
This is a big game for both teams and I think we can see quite a few penalties, and the goals going on.
