A disappointing one from the Habs last night.
They managed to blow the lead twice against the Jackets which was frustrating. Jackets started slow but got better as things went on. Stats wise it was a pretty even game. Just a case of things going the Jackets way.
The race remains exciting however as while the Habs dropped out of the 1 and 2 spot, the Hurricanes lost as well. It’s all very tight at the top.
Was nice to see the Stars get that win. That was a playoff level win and leaves the chase for the other playoff spot between the Avs and Coyotes now. I guess the Wild too. I’ll be rooting for the Coyotes.
Speaking of – massive game between the two tonight as the Coyotes go to Colorado. Should be a good one. The Wild are in action too as they go to Vegas.
It’s been a great month betting wise, tainted by a rough patch the last few days. I said that last week though – things are tricky right now and we’re sticking with 0.5u plays probably to run the season out.
Take the Penguins vs Predators game for example. Penguins are the team I lean towards betting there. But now the Preds have that playoff spot clinched – are they going to keep battling to increase their rankings? Or is the pressure off for them now? And if so will that be good for them? As we’ve seen how a lot of teams perform with no pressure at this juncture – they kill it.
Avalanche vs Coyotes Betting Tips:
As much as I want the Coyotes to take it, these are two teams trending in different directions and I’ve got to back the team that is trending upwards.
The Avs are just on a tear at the moment. They should come in confident and ready to rock and roll. They’re up fore very game and they’ve proven themselves in very tight games like against the Knights, Stars, Wild.
I just don’t see any reason that they don’t do it tonight.
This one I am very close to betting 1u but I think I will stick with 0.5. As this is a crucial game but like I said – sometimes the pressure gets to teams. Avs can almost lock a playoff spot up with this win.
