The St. Louis Blues have made it a 7 game series with a big thumping of the Dallas Stars. The Blues ran out 4-1 winners.
Game 7 in that series will be tomorrow night.
Tonight we have two Game 6’s as the Blue Jackets host the Bruins, and the Avalanche host the Sharks.
Both home teams are down 3-2 in the series so will make it interesting. From an entertainment perspective, we’ll be hoping that both home teams win just to give us three Game 7s.
Nothing beats the intensity of those.
Bruins vs Blue Jackets Game 6 Betting Tips:
Scott: Game 5 was nuts. It was 1-0 Boston after the 2nd period but the 3rd was crazy. They both scored 3 times and Pastrnak scored with less than 1:30 left which proved to be the winner.
I had predicted that the Bruins would win in 6 games and I still like that to happen.
Bruins win incl OT/SO – 0.5u
Graeme: I said when discussing Game 5 that I felt a real momentum shift in favour of the Bruins. The top line delivered again and are running red hot going into this huge game.
It’s hard to bet against the Bruins top line when they are running hot like that. In what is a close series, they are the difference. If they continue to run hot they take this one.
Not sure the odds are good enough for a bet, but I’ll take Bruins incl OT/SO – 0.5u as well. Sometimes in the playoffs the bets aren’t +EV but you just feel the nee to take them regardless.
Sharks vs Avalanche Betting Tips:
Scott: Pavelski is close to returning which is only going to help the Sharks who now have 2 chances to win the series. Pavelski made an appearance during game 5 and waved a rally towel and the Sharks fans went bananas.
The Sharks held MacKinnon pointless in game 5 and were the better team. With tonight’s game in Colorado I expect a better effort from the Avs as they try to take this to game 7. I originally picked the Sharks in 7 games so I’ll back that and go with the Avs to win this one.
Avalanche win incl OT/SO – 0.5u
Graeme: This has been such a weird series. From high scoring games to two low scoring games. One very tight one, one where the Sharks got shutout.
Sharks were really up for it in the last game but I don’t know if they have what it takes to do it on the road. I know they won here in Game 3 but it just seems like one of those series that they will rely on the home game 7 to take it.
In saying that I’ve seen the Avs top guys disappear too much this season so No Bet for me.
