Only the one tip yesterday.
We had the Caps to win in regulation against the Sharks but they needed OT for the 5-4 win. The Caps were down by 2 goals with less then a minute remaining. They never gave up and kept pushing and managed to tie it and force OT where Lars Eller scored to complete the comeback for Washington.
There was 6 games yesterday and 3 of them needed overtime and 2 of those went to a shootout.
The Panthers beat the Penguins 4-1 to snap their losing streak when playing in Pittsburgh at 8 games. The Lightning beat the Hurricanes 3-1 for their 7th straight win.
The Blackhawks beat the Red Wings 4-2. For Chicago this was their 4th win the the last 5 games. The Flames vs Wild game was a good close one. They traded goals and needed 7 rounds of a shootout to be completed with the Flames winning 5-4. The final game of the day was the Predators vs the Ducks and the Ducks won 5-4 in shootout.
The World Juniors wrapped up yesterday and it was an amazing game. In the end it was Canada beating Russia 4-3 for the Gold medal. In the Bronze medal game Sweden beat Finland 3-2.
We have 4 games today. There is nothing I like for todays games. The Oilers are in Toronto to take on the Leafs and the Leafs are heavily favored for the odds. But its the Leafs and it’s anyones guess which version they show up with for this game.
Avalanche vs Islanders game is a tough one. When these teams play each other when the Isles are at home the games seem to go over. But the Isles are such a strong defensive team that I can’t back the over.
Blue Jackets vs Kings is another game that I have no idea how it will go.
The Canadiens have acquired Montreal native Marco Scandella and signed Ilya Kovalchuk. With the new additions to the team, how do they do for today’s game?
