We had only one tip yesterday and it came through for us.
We had over 5.5 in the Blue Jackets vs Canucks game. This game had a great start with the Canucks getting on the board early scoring 1 minute into the game. They added another 7 minutes later to take a 2-0 lead. The Jackets answered but the Canucks managed to score another in the 2nd for the 3-1 lead heading into the 3rd. The Jackets came alive in the 3rd scoring 3 times and adding an empty net goal to complete the comeback and win 5-3.
The Flyers beat the Rangers 5-3. This was a huge game for Philly. They have won 6 in a row and are now in 2nd in the Metropolitan.
The Flames had a great game when they shutout the Panthers 3-0. The Flames now sit in 3rd place in the Pacific. The Panthers have gone 3-6-1 over their last 10 including dropping their last 3 games and now sit in 11th place, 5 points out of the final wild card spot.
A slow night with only two games taking place. Graeme is yet again doing me a huge favour and covering the tips for me for the next week. I’m going on vacation with my wife and kids. We will still discuss the games but he will be doing all of the writing. Thanks Graeme!!
I couldn’t come up with a tip. Below I’ll briefly go over the games. Be sure to read the comments section as maybe someone will help you decide on a game to bet.
Game Thoughts
Avalanche vs Red Wings: The Avs are heavy favourites for this one. They have won 6 in a row and are in 2nd place in the Central 3 points behind the Blues but they have 2 games in hand. The Red Wings are already eliminated from the playoffs so they are playing for pride at this point, although they have nothing to be proud about after the season they have had. To get any odds worth betting we would have to take Avalanche – 1.5. During the Avs 6 game winning streak 5 of them were decided by a single goal so I don’t have enough confidence to take the Avs to win by more than a goal. With that being said I’m sure the Avs win by 5 haha.
Oilers vs Predators: Big game for both teams here with the Oilers sitting in 2nd in the Pacific Division with 76 points but they are only 4 points ahead of the 8th place Predators who are tied with the 9th and 10th place Jets and Coyotes. As mentioned the Predators need the win too. With so much on the line in this game I’ll gladly avoid a tip and instead just enjoy watching whats sure to be a good game.
