The Vegas Golden Knights are out!
One of the favourites to take the cup from the offset – the Knights got gentleman swept by the Dallas Stars.
You can’t say that the Stars don’t deserve it. Yes they relied on the goalie a fair bit but to come back from 2-0 down in that game to tie it up and win in OT? Well deserved.
The Dallas Stars will now face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Well – maybe. Tampa aren’t quite there yet. They’re up 3-1 and playing tonight. As long as they don’t channel Tom Brady they should be good.

Lightning vs Islanders Game 5 Betting Tips:
Graeme: I had a feeling if Point returned he would make a big impact and he was able to do so. Not enough to push the game over 5.5 unfortunately but Tampa still got the big win.
I like them to continue that with their momentum. I backed the Islanders in Game 3 knowing that they needed to put on their best effort. They were able to do so. However there is a difference in putting on that big performance in Game 3 when down 2-0 and in Game 5 when you are down 3-1.
At this point it just seems like they are battling against the inevitable. I love Trotz and I have cheered the Islanders a lot however I just think Tampa are too good for them.
As I wrote back on the 7th – I was backing Tampa -1.5 for this series. I advised that bet then and so from a betting perspective I’m quite happy to ride it out.
It’s hard to really get motivated to get a side in this one. So no real bet for me but going by the metrics I’d say if you’re looking for a bet, Tampa in regulation seems like the best play.
Scott: Point returned and made an impact scoring a goal and assisting on the game winner. The Isles were up 1-0 but the Lightning scored 3 in a row and added an empty net goal for the 4-1 win.
The Lightning are only 1 win away from making the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 2015.
With Point back and the Lightning having momentum from winning the last 2 games I like them to move onto the Finals with a win in this game.
