At Sports Interaction we can now bet on how many points a player will get during the season.
They are a Canadian sportsbook. We’ll be using their odds and lines. If you are outside of Canada, you can bet at the following:

You might not be able to find the exact same props but they do list props related to points.
So a player will be listed and below their name there will be a number with odds for over and odds for under. So if you went with Alex Ovechkin his would show: Over 53.5 for 1.85 odds and Under 53.5 for 1.85 odds. If you think that at the end of the regular season Ovechkin will have more than 53.5 points, 54 or more, (goals and assists combined) then you would choose over.
This season will be different as it is shorter than normal, only 56 games, and teams will still be playing without fans due to the ongoing pandemic. The Divisions have also been realigned to cut down on the amount of travel teams need to make. Teams will only play teams within their division.
Below I’ll go over some of the player props and my thoughts on if I think that player will finish the season with more or less points then they have been assigned. To see the full list, there is just a pile of players to pick from, head to Sports Interaction
Auston Matthews – 62.5
Matthews has been a consistent player throughout his short NHL career. Last year he played in only 70 games but still set career highs in goals and points. The Leafs are expected to be a great team this season and a huge part of that will be Matthews.
He has been in the league for 4 seasons and each year he scores more than a point per game. As long as he can stay healthy than I don’t see him having a problem scoring more than 62.5 points.

Jack Eichel – 60.5 for 1.85
Since he entered the league 5 years ago his point totals have climbed each season, last year was down but if not for the stoppage he easily would have bested his previous season total.
This year the Sabres added Taylor Hall to a 1 year contract. So he will be going all out to make more money the next year when he signs another contract. This is only going to benefit Eichel. He has put up good numbers on some bad Sabres teams and now that he has some help he should easily score more than 60.5 points.

Patrik Laine – 48.5
This kid can score goals with the best of them. The first 3 years of his career he scored more goals than assists. Last season he has more assists than goals and put up 63 points in 68 games.
Two years ago he played all 82 games of the season and registered 50 points. So I think for him to score more than 48.5 in only 56 games might be a tough task for him to accomplish.

Alexis Lafreniere – 37.5
The number 1 pick from last year’s draft is going to be a star in the league at some point. For a kid to make his NHL debut has to be overwhelming enough but when its during a pandemic with no fans and division realignment it is only going to be even tougher for him.
He has lots of talent around him so he will put up decent points. But for a rookie to deal with all that is going on at the moment its going to be tricky for him to score more than the 37.5

Joe Thornton – 25.5
I’m a huge Joe Thornton fan and I hope he has success with the Leafs and can someday win a Stanley Cup. Who knows this may be the year
But he is 41 years old and for him to score more than 25.5 points may be a bit much. He has had a hard time staying healthy and his point totals have been on the decline for some time now. I hope I’m wrong and we get to see some vintage Jumbo Joe but I don’t see him having a pile of points.
