Well two tips yesterday and we won them both.
First we went with the Blackhawks to beat the Red Wings. This was a close game that needed overtime where the Hawks won 3-2. I had mentioned that Kane and Debrincat have been good for the Hawks but it was nice to see the Hawks pick up a win without getting a point from either of them. Kubalik scored twice for Chicago.
The other tip was Over 5.5 in the Panthers vs Lightning game. It looked as though the line changed to an over/under of 6 after I had posted the tips which was fine as this game went over either way when the Panthers won 6-4.
I had liked the Leafs to beat the Senators but had said that to get any value we would have to bet the Leafs -1.5 and I wasn’t comfortable doing that as it seems Ottawa shows up for games against rival teams. The Leafs were up 5-1 late in the 2nd but the Sens scored 4 unanswered of their own to force overtime where they won it 6-5. Matthews scored twice and picked up an assist and Thornton had a goal and an assist in his return from an injury.
I had also liked the Sabres but avoided it due to them having such a long break and it turned out to be the right decision as the Isles won 3-1.
It was Family Day in Ontario yesterday and I spent most of the day skating with my kids. Nothing like waking up with aches and pains and not being hungover to remind myself I’m getting older haha. Today we wake up to over a foot of snow and a snow day from school for the kids. Ohhh Canada. It wasn’t a huge surprise to see the snow when Texas was covered with snow forcing the Stars game against the Predators to be canceled yesterday.
We have 6 games scheduled today.
Capitals vs Penguins
I was going to go with no tips for today but instead found one that I liked.
Going to go with the Over in this game.
The Capitals last 5 games have gone over 6. The Penguins last 3 have gone over as well.
This is the 3rd game between these teams with all 3 being high scoring.
The Penguins have yet to lose on home ice so they will be looking to extend that home win streak. The Caps would love nothing more than to be the team to snap that streak.
Both teams are in the top half of the league in goals scored per game. The Capitals are ranked 30th the Penguins 28th in goals agaisnt.
