Well we had no tips yesterday. It was the Lightning -1.5 if Vasilevskiy got the start. It was McElhinney who started and hopefully everyone avoided this one as the Predators won 4-1. Rinne was on his game for this one making 38 saves in the win so even if Vasilevskiy was in net we might have been in trouble.
The Battle of Alberta was a good game. I mentioned that I liked the over but the previous results between these teams had me put off. Well the Flames won 4-3. This was the 3rd win in a row for the Flames with Sutter as head coach.
I was worried that the Capitals wouldn’t take their game against the Sabres seriously. Well they certainly showed up for this one as they cruised to a 6-0 win. Ovechkin tied the legend Phil Esposito for 6th on the all-time goal list when he scored his 717th career goal.
The Penguins beat the Bruins 4-1. Malkin scored a powerplay goal for the Pens and that was his 1100th career point becoming only the 3rd Russian to do so joining Ovechkin and Sergei Federov. The goal also extended his point streak to 8 games.

Well with the Lightning resting Vasilevskiy last night I assume they were doing so with this game in mind.
The have played twice this season and the Lightning won both, 5-0 and 2-0.
The Stars won their last game, a 2-1 shootout win, but had lost the two straight before that. Over their last 10 games they have gone 3-5-2. The Lightning have gone 7-2-1 over their last 10.
The Lightning will be looking to have a bounce back game here after getting worked over last night.
Would like to take this game including OT/SO but the odds just aren’t there. So we will go with Lightning win in regulation if Vasilevskiy is starting
