1-2 last night. Just as I thought – the Flyers really gained a lot of confidence from that Capitals game, and really got that “never give up” attitude going on, including a huge 3rd period against the Habs who have been a top 3rd period team this year. They’ve now got 3 road games including a game against the Leafs today, and it’ll be interesting to see if their confidence can carry through.
Calgary started off brightly against the Oilers going up 2-0. And then uh – yikes. A horrible 2nd period where every penalty they gave up resulted in a goal cemented that result. Minnesota battled back well after going 2-0 down against the Sharks, but San Jose came up big in a really tight game.
For Thursday, April 4th 2013 we’ve got hockey all night long – just the way I like it. 10 games up tonight with the Flyers heading to Toronto as mentioned. The Oilers will head to BC for a tough game against the Canucks, and one game I’m really looking forward to is the Wild vs the Kings. That’s going to be a tight one and those two put on a great game a few days ago, where Minnesota won in a shootout 4-3 victory.
Let’s get on with the Free NHL Betting Tips for tonight:
Canucks vs Oilers Betting Tips: Canucks to Score First
There is quite a few betting opportunities in this game. I like Canucks to win the race to 3 goals at 1.9 odds, also the longshot bet of the 1st period being the highest scoring period(3.10 odds), and also a goal before 9:30 at 1.74 odds – all of these bets are available 2.6 odds for at B365 .
Leafs vs Flyers Betting Tips: Over 5.5
When both these teams match-up, there’s usually goals. In February the two teams played and the Leafs won 5-2 and 4-2 both times. Toronto are performing even better goal wise lately, and Kadri especially is killing it. Even better – the Leafs are leaking goals! O’Byrne is a solid pickup to help that, but it usually takes a couple of games for a defenseman to really settle in.
Philly had a grueling game against the Habs last night, but every game is crucial for them and they’re not going to come here and lay down. Similar to the Oilers/Canucks analysis I like Toronto scoring nice and early – but I see Philly going down all guns a-blazing, and this being an all-out offensive game.
You can get 1.76 odds on the Over 5.5 at Bet365 (Americans: We recommend http://www.bovada.lv which is the best odds I am seeing at the moment.
