The Hurricanes beat the Hawks 6-3. The Canes have a 4 point lead over the Panthers for top spot in the Central.
The Devils beat the Bruins 4-3 in OT ending the Bruins win streak at 4 games. The Sabres beat the Islanders 4-3 in a shootout. With both teams gaining a point with their overtime losses, the Bruins still have a 1 point lead over the Islanders for 3rd place in the East Divison with a game in hand.
The Penguins got some revenge against the Flyers. After getting beat by Philadelphia 7-2 on Monday, the Penguins came ready and won this one 7-3.
The final game of the night was the Oilers vs the Canucks and the Oilers won 4-1. The Oilers have won 3 in a row and McDavid added 2 assists to bring his point total to 93 with 5 games left.
Another full night of NHL action with 9 games scheduled. It’s tough to call who will win at this point in the season. There are some big games tonight including the one I’m most looking forward to the Capitals vs the Rangers. With Wilson only getting fired $5k for his actions on Monday night its seems like the league is leaving it up to the Rangers to deal with it. This could get ugly.
Another big game is the Jets vs the Flames. The Jets are on a bad slide at the moment losing 7 in a row and the Flames are behind them in the standings and have not yet been eliminated.

Predators vs Blue Jackets
I had Predators in regulation against the Jackets on Monday but the Preds won in overtime.
For today’s game if the Predators can win then they have all but clinched a spot in the playoffs. If the Preds win and the Stars lose in regulation then they are in. They have beat the Jackets in 6 of 7 meetings this season.
This is a huge game for Nashville with only 3 games left. As far as motivation goes there isn’t anything more motivating then a spot in the postseason where anything can happen.
Was a little worried to take the Predators in regulation as their last two games were wins but both were finished in extra time. The Jackets last 4 games saw them win once and all 4 went to extra time. But of the 7 games between these teams this season only 1 was in overtime.

To WIN: Nashville and St. Louis
Hedge bet: both Nashville and St. Louis on the reverse puckline of either +1.0 or +1.5, in case they screw up, because it’s the NHL.
Neither team is a powerhouse, they both have negative goal differentials, and I’m really debating how much cashola to risk on them. The situation is strongly in their favor → Both secure their playoffs hopes with wins tonight, and Nashville faces a “win now or else” situation because their two remaining games are against Carolina who are on a 5-game winning streak and leading the Division. Dallas could still possibly catch them. St. Louis then faces Vegas twice and closes the season against LA Kings who are being a pest. Now’s the time, but that’s been said a zillion times before by betters who lost.
