It was a solid performance by the Tampa Bay Lightning yesterday as they did a good job at neutralizing the New York Islanders. Islanders got fed a bit of their own medicine with the Tampa strategy.
It was a big win for Tampa though and going to enemy territory and getting resuts like that is key.
Game 4 will be tomorrow.
The Golden Knights now head to Montreal as they take on the Habs in Game 3. Montreal pulled off a surprise win in Game 2 after a big loss in Game 1. Nice to see the Vegas Hangover theory is still going strong.
Let’s get to it:
Knights vs Canadiens Game 3 Betting Tips:
Scott: The Habs scored 3 goals which seems to be their magic number as they have won 21 straight games when scoring 3 or more. Scoring that many goals in a game seems to give Price confidence and he goes to work.
After playing the last two games in front of almost 18000 fans the Habs are allowing 3500 fans in to watch. It won’t be near as loud but the Habs will have some fans there cheering them on.
With Montreal getting a win in Vegas, Price locked in and playing in front of their own fans the Habs may win this game. The odds make it worth taking
Canadiens win incl OT
Graeme: I hope I’m wrong but I think the Knights take this one.
I’d love to see the Habs do it with that home crowd.
The Knights in these playoffs though have shown a lot of mental strength in spots like this. We saw how they were able to pull it together against the Wild in Game 7. More importantly was the way they were able to get the results against Colorado after two losses.
Based on everything I do think the Habs have a bit of value at about 2.40-2.45. The Knights incl OT line is too short for my liking and I don’t have enough confidence in regulation.
For me this is a No Bet although if Habs win I think I blindly take Knights next time.
