Wow. The Canadiens are a legit threat to win the Cup. I would have never thought it would happen but Price has been money and they are now 1 win away from the Stanley Cup Finals.
Graeme is a little under the weather today so I’ll just post my tips quickly as I’m on my way to work. Sorry for the delay.
Lightning vs Islanders
The Lightning looked like a different team in game 5. The scored early and often winning 8-0. The chased Varlamov from the net after scoring 3 goals on him in the 1st. Sorokin took a shot high which hit him in the collarbone and it looked like he was going to have to leave but he stayed in. Point scored again for the 8th straight game which moved him into 2nd place for consecutive playoff games with a goal, 2 back of Reggie Leach.
If the Lightning can play anything like the way they did in game 5 then they will win and move on to the finals. But after taking a beating like they did the Isles should use that as motivation. The home fans will be going crazy to help them but will it be enough. The Bolts seemed to have found another gear and that is going to hurt the Isles. Too many questions about this game.
This is a game where I’ll just enjoy it with out having a play. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if the Lightning rode the momentum gained to a win here.
