A busy night last night with 11 games. For the tips we went 2-0.
We had the Rangers to win in regulation against the Canadiens and this was a close one but the Rangers won 3-2. This was the Rangers 4th straight win.
Our other tip was also a a win and not near as close. The Panthers to beat the Islanders in regulation was the tip and the Panthers cruised to a 6-1 win. The Panthers scored the first 5 goals of the game.
The Leafs shutout the Preds 3-0 for their 4th straight win. They have gone 9-1 over their last 10. The Coyotes, yes those Coyotes, beat the Blues to pick up their 2nd win of the season. The Jets beat the Oilers 5-2 to extend their win streak to 3 games.
The Ducks beat the Capitals 3-2. This was the Ducks 1000th win in franchise history and it was fitting as Getzlaf picked up a point which was the 1000th of his career. Zegras scored twice again and Terry picked up an assist to extend his point streak to 15 games.
A slow night again with only 3 games. I couldn’t come up with any thing for this game. I was leaning towards a couple teams but talked myself out of it.
Blackhawks vs Kraken Betting Tips:
Tough game to call here. Both teams haven’t been very good this season. The Hawks are on a 3 game win streak, the Kraken have dropped 4 in a row. On the road the Hawks are 0-5-1, at home the Kraken are 3-4-0.
If not for the Hawks road record I would be taking them here. But I’ll skip this game as it’s too close to call.
Avalanche vs Canucks Betting Tips:
The Avalanche are without MacKinnon, Byram and Compher but have still won 2 in a row. The Canucks are struggling right now. They have lost 4 straight and have gone 2-7-1 over thier last 10.
The Canucks open a 3 game homestand and there was a meeting between owner Francesco Aquilini and GM Jim Benning and coach Travis Green. These next 3 games will go along way towards determining the future of Benning and Green as the Canucks were expected to be a better team than they have been.
With so much on the line I’ll stay away from this game. Was leaning towards the Avalanche but with the meeting between ownership and management the Canucks may turn things around.
Capitals vs Kings Betting Tips:
Another game where I am going to stay away.
The Caps played and lost in overtime last night and have gone 5-2-3 over their last 10. The Kings lost to the Jets in overtime on Saturday snapping their win streak at 7 games.
With the Kings record over their last 10, being off since Saturday and the Caps playing last night I was leaning towards taking them here. But they are still without Doughty and Walker and the Caps have been a strong team this year.
