Hi guys,
It was an 0-1 night last night. At least we didn’t really have to sweat it too much – it was a big ol shellacking by the Hurricanes.
Hurricanes got off to a super early lead and it was like the Kings just tapped out.
On the brighter side – the Kraken lost. That was one I was very tempted about yesterday and when they went up 2-0 I was furious for not backing it. Luckily the Oilers stepped up and got the win there.
We’ve got four games on the slate today. Who knows how many actually go ahead! However I agree with the NHL in attempting to power through. Especially when you have people who have bought tickets for these games etc. If the teams are able to play and up for playing and aren’t really affected – go for it.
Islanders vs Knights:
Islanders are just not a team I feel confident backing currently. Knights are playing well but this is a long enough road trip for them and could be a dud of a game for them.
I do feel like Islanders get the win here. They just haven’t shown enough consistency.
Jets vs Blues:
Not a bad price at all for the Blues. Their road form has been weak lately but a lot of that is injuries and COVID.
I really don’t think Jets should be such big favourites. Maybe they expect new coach magic?
Strong lean on Blues but hard to back. Jets are really a coinflip team so it’s not too bad to play agains them at above even odds.
Capitals vs Kings:
As I start to write this, Oshie goes in COVID protocol. Good stuff.
That usually indicates more to come. Caps a tad erratic at the moment. Hard to really trust. Kings had a dismal performance. They are pretty good at the bounce back after a blowout – which seems to have happened quite a few times this season.
No bet.
Devils vs Penguins:
Pens as of right now have no players in protocol. PK went in yesterday which is 5 guys I believe. Bratt out as well yesterday.
I get the feeling this one will be canceled. If not, it’s a good spot for the Penguins.
For some reason I feel like they will let us down. Classic letdown spot. But on paper, this is a good play to me.
