The Bruins game being called off yesterday voided the Grand Salami bet – and that ended up being a good thing as the Rangers and Sabres put up 12 goals. 8 freaking 4, unbelievable game. The Blackhawks showed they really want that presidents trophy, battling all the way to the death against the Nashville Predators.
For Saturday, April 20th 2013 there’s 8 games on the board. Chicago hope to continue their momentum against Phoenix, the Capitals come to Montreal for a big game, and we have the Battle of Ontario taking place with the Leafs vs the Senators. Let’s get on with the NHL Betting Tips…
Jets vs Islanders Betting Tips: Over 5.5 Goals
We’re getting nice 1.95 odds on the Over 5.5 at Bodog.
These teams match up well when it comes to goals. Their first game saw the Jets win 5-4 and the last game 18 days ago saw the Islanders come out victorious in a 5-2 win. The Jets are still in with a chance, and are going to come out on the offense here. Their games have been goals aplenty lately and I like that to continue here. Ladd and Wheeler are both on fire when it comes to points.
This is going to be a tight one in terms of who will win but I don’t see it being tight from a goaltending perspective. I’m liking quite a lot of goals here, and you can bet it at Bodog.
Blackhawks vs Coyotes Betting Tips: Over 5
These two match-up well when it comes to goals. The last two games between them saw the Hawks win 6-2 and 6-4. Both games were extremely open offensively with a lot of goals and shots.
The Blackhawks are solid at the back but Phoenix usually find a way to sneak in some goals. Toews has been killing it lately, and these two teams should put in a lot of goals.
The goal line of 5 instead of 5.5 is a bonus and that is available at Bodog.
Flyers vs Hurricanes Betting Tips: Over 5.5
With not much to play for this season, expect a nice open offensive game between the Flyers and the Hurricanes.
In their previous two outings we saw similar(even though they had something to play for) as the Flyers won 5-3 and 4-3.
When you’ve got teams with nothing to play for you tend to see them relax a bit defensively and at least give the fans a good show. These two teams should do just that – especially with Lauridsen still getting used to the line-up.
