Great 3-0 Betting night for us last night. The Bruins covered the 2 goal spread and won 3-0, the Hurricanes vs Lightning game needed only 16 seconds to get the scoring going and the Blue Jackets won a nail biter beating the Sharks 4-3.
A fairly slow night of hockey for us tonight with only 5 games scheduled but some great ones. Winnipeg will try to shorten the gap between them and the Rangers when they take on the Sabres. Detroit welcomes the Coyotes to town and the Red Wings are in desperate need of some points to try and catch the Blue Jackets. And the game of the night has got to be the Blackhawks vs the Canucks in whats sure to be a fantastic back and forth game and one that I for one will not be missing.
So lets get to the /NHL Betting tips for Monday April 22nd
Penguins vs Senators: Over 5.5 Goals
The last time these teams played was when that questionable hit took place where Matt Cooke sliced Erik Karlsson so this game has the potential to have some feisty play. With a win the Penguins will sweep the season series 3-0. With a win Ottawa would jump back into 6th place in the East.
This will be a high scoring game and one where the Sens would love to not only avoid being swept but maybe exact some revenge for the Cooke hit. Bet that this game will go over 5.5 goals at Bovada
Ducks vs Oiler: Ducks First To 3 Goals
In what has been yet another disappointing season for Edmonton fans, the Oilers can look to next year to see if their young talent is FINALLY ready to make the leap from good prospects to stars. And on the other end is The Ducks who have had just a great season and if not for my Hawks they would be the talk of the NHL.
I expect the Ducks to win this game but everyone does including the Sportsbooks so there isn’t any money to be made. So lets bet that the Ducks will be the first team to 3 goals for 2.00 Odds at Bovada
Coyotes vs Red Wings: Red Wings To Score First
For the first time in recent memory the Red Wings are going to have to fight to just MAKE the playoffs. If at the start of the season someone were to tell me that the Blue Jackets would trade Rick Nash and be in the playoffs and that Detroit would not I would of laughed and bet them crazy money on it. But that is what is happening this year.
Sure the lockout shortened season hurt them but what hurt most was the lose of first ballot hall of famer and team captain Nik Lidstrom. But this is the Red Wings and this team will fight until the finish and it may come down to the last day for the Western Conference playoff matchups to be decided.
I expect the Red Wings to come at the Coyotes from the opening face off and to build a quick lead so I am suggesting you bet that the Wings will score first at Bovada
