A 2-0 day yesterday.
Islanders got the job done. It was a bit of a nervy one as the Stars kept fighting but they got that 4-2 win. This is a team that is going to come out absolutely flying next season.
Oilers scared the crap out of us for awhile but managed to get it going eventually, and got us the big 6-3 win.
Speaking of winning bets – be sure to check out Vin over at SportsBettingTips.org if you are looking to bet on March Madness. He has been doing very well and followed up a 6-3-1 day with a 6-2 day yesterday. Crushing it.
Let’s get into the tips. I have plans this morning so will try and keep write-ups short.
Flyers vs Islanders:
This is one of those weird gut feelings where despite being impressed by the Islanders yesterday, I actually think they may lose here. On a back to back, had to travel after playing yesterday. Flyers haven’t been too bad at home overall.
But with Giroux gone? I just can’t advise. Big loss.
Capitals vs Stars:
Caps come in playing well enough. Getting the goals while conceding them as well. Stars come in playing brutal and just not looking good at all.
But we would have to take Caps in regulation. Their goals conceded lately plus their inability to wrap games up in regulation is off putting. Plus Dowd and TVR both picking up injuries. I do think Caps probably get the job done but have my concerns. So many tight victories.
Hurricanes vs Rangers:
Carolina will be coming into this game looking to flex their muscle. They now have three losing games in a row despite playing well in them. The New York Rangers pulled a win out on the road over Tampa – who clearly have to be considered unbettable for the rest of the season now.
Of course both teams are already in the playoffs. A win for the Rangers would really help their chances of getting 2nd in the division. But you do have to wonder how important that is to teams.
Canes might have DeAngelo back.
Canes have been very inconsistent lately but they seem like the type of team who will take this one seriously. Big divisional game and getting out of this losing run. Happy to back them here. Their advanced metrics coming into this one are solid enough and it’s just about converting those chances.
With Georgiev in net, they should be able to do that.
Hurricanes in Regulation
Canada: 1.80 Odds at Sports Interaction (SIA).
USA: -140 Odds at Bovada.
Everyone Else: 1.77 Odds at Casumo
(Odds correct as of 2022/03/20 9:42:44 AM EST but are subject to change.)
Sharks vs Coyotes:
Nothing here. Keller is apparently fine which is good news for Coyotes. Hope he is and can get a point. Nice for them to have something going.
Blackhawks vs Jets:
I don’t bet games involving the Winnipeg Jets. I do believe the Blackhawks dressing room is in tatters and Jets should be able to take full advantage.
Canucks vs Sabres:
Flames bounced back last night. Good to see although wish they didn’t have to in the first place. Canucks having just lost at home to Detroit – I would have to back them -1.5 and zero confidence in that.
