We had two tips yesterday and we went 2-0.
Had over 6.5 in the Pens vs Oilers game and this came through for us before the 2nd period ended. The Oilers scored 5 unanswered goals to complete the 6-3 comeback win. What makes it even more impressive is that McDavid didn’t have a point in this game.
The other tip was the Canes to win in regulation against the Canucks and they did 3-2. This was the Canucks 7th straight loss to open the season.
The Sens beat the Stars 4-2 which was the Stars first loss in regulation this season. The Caps beat the Devils 6-3 ending the Devils win streak at 3 games. The Knights beat the Leafs 3-1. I’m glad I stayed away from taking the Over. Kessel tied defenseman Keith Yandle’s ironman record by playing in his 989th straight game. The Jets beat the Blues 4-0 and this was the Blues first loss of the season.
Tonight we have 10 games so let’s get to it.
Coyotes vs Blue Jackets
This is the Coyotes last road game. On Friday they get to have their home opener in their new home.
The Jackets are coming off of that big win against the Rangers. They should take this game and get themselves to .500 for the season.
The Jackets are the obvious favorites here and no value unless taken them -1.5.
Instead I liked the over here. The Coyotes are ranked 31st in goals against, the Jackets 26th. But the over/under is 7 so I have to skip this game.
Stars vs Bruins
The Stars played, and lost last night which was their first regulation loss of the season.
The Bruins are 5-1 and have won their last 2 heading into this game but both were in OT.
The Bruins are at home where they have been great going 4-0. But to get any value taking them I would need to take them to win in regulation. With their last 2 games needing extra time I can’t back that.
Wild vs Canadiens
The Wild are 1-3-1 and still can’t play defense. They are allowing a league high 5.4 goals per game. Their only win was in overtime against the winless Canucks.
The Habs are 3-3 and are at home where they have gone 3-1.
I want to take the Habs for this game but I just can’t. The odds are good but it’s only a matter of time until the Wild get their shit together and against a rebuilding team they may jump at the opportunity.
The last 2 games for the Habs were high scoring; 7 and 8 total goals, the Wilds 5 games this season; 7, 7, 9, 13 and 10.

Devils vs Red Wings
Both teams have shown that they have potential and are well prepared for the future with plenty of young stars to build a team with.
This is a coin flip game and I really have no idea who comes out the winner.
Avalanche vs Rangers
This should be a good game between two of the top teams in the league.
The Avalanche are 3-2-1 having beat the Knights, Hawks and Wild. They lost to the Kraken, Flames and the Jets in OT.
The Rangers are also 3-2-1. They beat the Lightning, Wild and Ducks but lost to the Jets, Sharks and Blue Jackets. They have lost their last 2 games.
This is another coin toss game for Odds as both are 1.90 to win. No tip
Panthers vs Blackhawks
On paper the Panthers should walk all over the Hawks. But the Hawks have won 3 in a row and are also at home where they have gone 2-0. The Panthers are 4-1-1 on the season.
The Panthers seem to win against the teams they are expected to beat. Their losses were against the Bruins and the Lightning in OT.
With that being said they are expected to beat the Hawks here. Three of their 4 wins were decided by a single goal. The Hawks wins haven’t been against the strongest of teams with the Wings being their toughest opponent they beat.
The odds are junk for the Panthers so I can’t back them and the over/under is 7. Easy skip for me.
Penguins vs Flames
Another game that features two of the best teams in the league.
The Flames are 4-1 and have some wins against strong teams. They have beaten the Avalanche, Oilers, Knights and the Canes. They lost to the Sabres which, when looking at the other teams they beat, is strange.
The Pens lost last night when the Oilers scored 5 straight. After blowing a 3-1 lead you would have to think that they will buckle down defensively. The odds are good for a Pens win but with them playing last night I’m not sure.
Sabres vs Kraken
The Sabres have won 3 in a row and are 3-0 on the road so far this season. The Kraken are 2-3-2 this season but when at home they have gone 0-2-1.
Dahlin has been great so far. He has scored a goal in 5 straight games and the defenseman has set an NHL record among blueliners with his five-game goal streak to open the season. With him and Power they have some great pieces on the blue line.
I’ll probably regret this as the advanced metrics dont back this up but I like the Sabres to win here.

Lightning vs Kings
The Lightning have won their last 2 games and the Kings have lost their last 2.
The Kings are at home here but they haven’t won in Los Angeles yet this season. It’s only been 2 games but still something to keep and eye on. This is the Kings first home game after playing the last 5 on the road.
The Lightning are at .500 and when you look at the teams they have played its understandable. They have played the Rangers, Panthers and Penguins so far so it’s not been an easy stretch.
With the Kings home woes and the Lightning on 2 game win streak I like their chances.

Knights vs Sharks
The Knights played and won last night and the Sharks had yesterday off but had a shutout in their last game against the Flyers.
I would lean towards a Knights win which would need to be in regulation but the Sharks are coming off of that win and are at home.
Thanks boys! Love reading your daily write ups and predictions!
Thanks Ryan!
Out of the box, I like Bolts -130 and u6.5
LA is a bottom-half team in allowing scoring chances and high-danger chances. In addition, they have barely league-average penalty killing, poor power play and a porous defense, add poor goaltending and things are not going to bode well for the hosts against a high-powered offense like Tampa Bay. The line will get worse so jump on it now.

GLTA SDB
well, what the hell. Pens scored 3 and then just gave up in the 3rd?
