Had 1 tip yesterday and went 1-0.
I had the Bruins to win in regulation against the Lightning if Ullmark started. Swayman got the start so I didn’t have a tip for this game. The Bruins won 3-1. It’s not that Swayman is a bad goalie it’s just that Ullmark has been playing amazingly and is leading the league in most goalie stats.
I had the Kraken to beat the Kings and this was a crazy game. The game was tied 3-3 after the 1st and then they combined for 8 goals in the 2nd. The Kings scored twice in the 3rd to tie it and force OT where Burakovsky scored for the Kraken and the 9-8 win.
The Capitals beat the Canucks 5-1 and Ovechkin scored twice, passing Wayne Gretzky for the most road goals in NHL history with 403. The Jets shutout the Avs 5-0, the Flyers snapped their 10 game losing skid when they beat the Isles 3-1 and the Flames beat the Panthers 6-2 in Tkachuk’s return to Calgary.
Only 4 games tonight.
Rangers vs Senators
The Rangers are on a 3 game losing streak and the Sens have won their last 2.
With the way both teams are playing it would seem like this is a game the Sens should win at home.
But the Rangers could use this game against a weaker opponent to snap their losing skid.
They have similar records for their home and away play with the Rangers 6-4-1 away and the Sens 5-6 at home.
With it being the underachieving Rangers it’s hard to call.
Sharks vs Leafs
The Sharks are coming off of their shutout win last night against the Habs 4-0.
The Leafs have won their last 4 games and are 7-1-2 over the last 10. They have points in 9 straight.
Despite missing some big pieces from their defense, the Leafs are still getting the job done
I do like the Leafs to continue their strong play here but to get any value in them we need to take them -1.5. That’s not a problem but the Sharks have came alive of late.
They played once this season and it was the Sharks winning 4-3 in overtime. Just no value here.
Sabres vs Red Wings
Both teams would love to get back in the win column here. The Sabres have dropped two straight and are 2-7-1 over last 10. The Wings lost their last game and are 5-3-2.
They played back on Halloween night and the Sabres pounded the Wings 8-3.
That loss is still on the minds of the Red Wings and they would love to get some revenge and pick up the win here.
With the Wings at home where they have gone 7-3-2 and looking to even the score against the Sabres I like their chances

Oilers vs Blackhawks
The Oilers have won 2 in a row and are 5-5 over last 10. The Hawks are struggling at the moment losing thier last 7, are ranked 30th in GPG and 29th in GAPG.
They played once this season and the Oilers won 6-5.
I do like the Oilers to win but it would have to be -1.5 and when they are the road team that’s a tricky bet.

I agree with Scott caution is in order with the Oilers. Oilers play well against strong teams, then cross the street to lose to poor teams. Chicago sucks, so what could go wrong? Oilers great goalie Skinner against lesser goalie Soderblom tonight (both confirmed)? I’d strongly suspect the Oilers take tonight off. The Oilers look-ahead isn’t interesting or challenging. They should be resting players with play-through injuries. Their secondary players will try to maintain the game, but if Chicago is so horrid of a team, and they are, they want next summer’s top draft picks, then some goals getting in looks likely. A team total bet seems lower risk than winning on the puckline or player props here.
The public will be all over the Leafs tonight and I haven’t bet on them in two years. With Dell in net the Sharks should try a more defensive style, and the Leafs are weak-willed, so only time will tell. The Leafs get two days off before a Tampa+Dallas road trip, so they’ll probably slack off tonight. Risky, and a snore.

I took the Rangers at even money. So they go from favorites vs the 2nd best team to underdogs vs the 4th worst? This is the spot where i see value in the Rangers and no one eager to take them with Halak starting and on the road. Well no excuses for Halak but they’ve performed better on the road than at home and Talbot might be slightly padded by two games vs Philly and one vs the Ducks. Full unit on rangers even money and a half unit on them to win in regulation at +165.
