The Florida Panthers get a nice little rest, while their likely opponents, the Golden Knights, have to play at least one more game before facing them.
The Dallas Stars were able to break the sweep with a 3-2 win in OT at home.
Now they head to Vegas, where the Knights hope to wrap it up. Both games were close at Vegas so far, with the Knights winning 4-3 and 3-2 in overtime.
Will this one head back to Dallas? Or are we going to see a gentleman’s sweep?
Here’s our thoughts:
Scott: Another close game between these two teams.
The Stars avoided getting swept with a big overtime win. Of the 4 games in this series, 3 have needed overtime. The Stars only took 1 penalty in game 4 which is much better than the 6 in game 3 when they got beat with ease 6-0.
For the Stars to have any chance at winning this game they will need Robertson to continue scoring where he had 2 goals on 11 shots.
But I still can’t back either team here. This series has been a great one and with the exception of game 3 have all been decided by a single goal. The Stars haven’t been very good on the road this postseason but if Robertson can have another big game then they have a chance in any game.
The Knights can’t allow the Stars any other chances with their captain Benn returning in the next game and take advantage of playing at home.

Graeme: From a betting standpoint, I’m kind of mentally checked out from this series. That game 3 was just so off-putting and really puts me off betting the Stars again in this series.
I also don’t have the confidence in the Knights. Discounting Game 3, all three games have went to OT so it’s been very tight. I’d want a team at plus odds, which would be the Stars.
Looking at the data this series – in 5 vs 5, the Stars have been better in pretty much all the metrics. Unfortunately for them, the one metric they are not performing well in is goals scored which uh – is kinda important. It’s similar to the Knights series against the Oilers. When you look at their 5 vs 5 metrics for the entire playoffs it’s not an anomaly. They are just really good in that situation. Best team in the playoffs by a long shot.
If we break it down to all situations, Stars continue to rock and roll and at least their goals scored goes up.
But like I said – those 5 vs 5 stats for Vegas aren’t an anomaly. It’s what has brought them here. And I expect it to continue.
I like Vegas tonight, but just don’t feel good at backing them at those odds. So it’s a no bet for me.
I can’t see anything to bet on. Not sides or Over/Under, and the props are high risk due to low scoring. I’m still looking, and maybe an UNDER for shots or points for some player? I suspect Vegas will win this, but exactly by what score no idea. I’m not sweating this one.
